I'm not sure we can take conjecture and innuendo out of it; that's ALL that we have to go on so far.

The only FACTS we have are:

Gordon was suspended indefinitely for violating the NFL's substance-abuse policy.

Gordon applied for reinstatement over 60 days ago.

No announcement from the NFL about his application, other than Goodell will "get an update" next week.

Everything else is speculation: Gordon's tweet of a high-five emoji (means he has heard he's getting reinstated), Gordon's pic with Manziel (he's getting high and drunk in Vegas OR he just happened to bump into a teammate on his way to one of those Vegas Chapels, while staying FAR, FAR away from any of the alcohol and drugs that are prevalent in Vegas), a reporter "has a sense" that Cleveland has "cooled" on Gordon (WTH does that mean?  How "hot" were they for him previously?)

Right, it's a hunch, not sure how that's looking more and more like he's getting traded.

That's what I'm trying to get at, whether Soulfly has info that I haven't seen or if it's just more cheerleading.

If I was a play-by-play announcer, the first time RGIII threw a TD to Gordon, I'd be all like:   'WE'VE GOT A WACO-TYPE SITUATION ON OUR HANDS HERE!'

 
I think 60 days is more than enough time for the NFL to make a decision here.  If Gordon does his time and retains a clean slate during his suspension, what is there to debate?  Goodell's apparent lack of any urgency in the face of a man's livelihood is unacceptable.  It tells me that Roger thinks very highly of himself and his role in the disciplinary process.

If somebody is going to be the judge, jury and executioner, I want someone with the Wisdom of Solomon, not a bumbling tyrant who lets his ego rule his actions.

Roger will continue to do whatever keeps people talking about the NFL. He knows people are curious about his decision so he will make everyone wait as long as possible. He is a difficult person to like that is for sure. Wait until he expands the season and has games played globally. However he always has the players best interest in mind. ?

BEREA, Ohio -- Robert Griffin III and Josh Gordon share a history. It was brief, dynamic and cut short by the receiver's poor judgment.

The description capsulizes Gordon's time at Baylor and, if he slips up again, could serve as his NFL coda. The oft-suspended Browns' wideout is running out of chances. So is his former college quarterback, only for different reasons.

The last coach to see them on the field together believes a reunion in Cleveland could draw out the best in both.

"There is a natural connection between RG3 and JG," Baylor's Art Briles told cleveland.com. "When you're talking about a quarterback-receiver relationship at the highest level of the game you need a really strong bond and those guys have it. I think it's going to be great for them."

...What, if anything, does Griffin's arrival mean for Gordon, who's still waiting for NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell to green-light his reinstatement.

Briles thinks having a friend on the team with whom he's enjoyed success will have a significant impact. The Baylor coach reminded Browns fans what they saw from the 6-foot-3, 225-pound Gordon during his All-Pro season wasn't a fluke.

"If you drew a picture of an ideal NFL receiver it would be Josh," Briles said. "Hopefully, he's on the right track now. Robert is only going to help. ... Sometimes, it takes two to make one person special."

...If Griffin wins the starting job, his ability to throw the deep ball could do wonders for Gordon's future earning potential. The wideout has two seasons remaining on his rookie contract. While Griffin has endured his own issues with Redskins' coaches and teammates, he figures to be a more stable and positive influence on Gordon than Johnny Manziel. The friendship always worried the Browns, and for good reason.

Adding Griffin to the roster should help Gordon in his presumptive return to the club.

Well, RG3's first season was monstrous.

And Gordon's season was historic.

So... I mean... Ya. He said exactly the right thing

 
3200 yards passing.  MONSTER.

That was also 4 years ago, and he has been horrible since. 

As for Gordon, well...............................

This guy's quote was about the same as saying "if I pick the right powerball lottery numbers, you would have a hard time finding a richer person in my town".

He was a rookie and posted the best rookie QB passer rating in NFL history as a rookie quarterback and lead the Redskins to the playoffs.

1. Robert Griffin III, 2012








The Washington Redskins mortgaged their future to move up in the 2012 NFL Draft to select RGIII with the second overall pick. They sent three first-round and one-second round pick to the St. Louis Rams in exchange for the rights to select the 2011 Heisman Trophy winner. After Griffin’s rookie season, it appeared as though the Redskins had gotten a fair deal in what seemed like an overwhelmingly lopsided trade at the time.

Griffin led Washington to its first playoff appearance since 2007 and set rookie records for the highest quarterback rating and the highest touchdown-to-interception ratio of all time. On top of proving to be a more polished passer than anyone had expected, he was also a serious threat as a ball carrier, rushing for more than 800 yards and seven touchdowns as a rookie.

 
3200 yards at over 8 yards per attempt...............let that sink in.

So ok, that has been RG3's "best".  So IF he is healthy and IF he is on top of his game, 3200 yards.  To Gordon, IF he is reinstated, and IF he plays as well as he did a FEW years ago.  A guy who has sat out just about two years, and his last few games looked terrible.

The absurdity of this idiots comments is two-fold, both equally stupid.  One, a lot of "ifs" need to happen.  These "ifs" have not happened for multiple YEARS now.  IF RG3 stays healthy, IF he is on top of his game, IF he can mesh with a new coach/system/players.  Then Gordon IF he is reinstated, IF he is back to form, IF he hasn't become a total wasted headcase.

Ok, let's say not that hypothetically RG3 stays 100% healthy and plays at the top of his game like his rookie year.  Let's say Gordon gets reinstated and is back to his 2013 form. 

Even if RG3 repeats his rookie year and Gordon plays like he did in 2013, the second absurd part of the statement is saying THAT would be the top QB/WR tandem in the league.  For ####ing real????

The reality of it is that RG3 had a nice rookie year, was gameplanned for and injury prone and has sucked for three straight years.  Gordon keeps getting suspended, hasnt played for two years, and looked terrible the last few games he actually did get to play in 2014.  Not to mention they will both be with all new coaches and teammates. 

And back to RG3, yeah, he posted the best ROOKIE passer rating.  He also did it with about 25 pass attempts per game.  He was efficient.  He did not have a MONSTER season.  He has an EFFICIENT season.  3200 yards and 20 TDs might be a monster season if he played like 10 games.

 
im gonna go out on the limb here brohans and predict that if he plays this year he is in the top fifty to seventy five wrs in the league take that to the bank bromigos
