Julio Jones (1 Viewer)

Well if you read the linked thread, you will see some joe's fantasy team is decimated by injuries and he needs Julio to have a big game or he is likely to lose his fantasy matchup this week. This is the insight you cannot get anywhere else. I will be starting Julio with confidence.

:goodposting: This is true...to a point. Except I'm playing him over a couple Moores (Denarius and Lance) so not prompted entirely from desperation. And yes, its mostly a gut feeling that he's been simmering against two very good defenses and this week he is unleashed.

For those who are unimpressed by my OP link, see: http://www.bucsnation.com/2011/9/24/2446785/falcons-buccaneers-three-key-matchups-when-the-bucs-are-on-defense

Aqib Talib vs Roddy White

With Julio Jones faltering early this season and Harry Douglas being nothing more than a complementary receiver, the Falcons are back where they were last year: with only one real receiving threat and no deep passing game. So much for that immediate return on a massive investment.

But Roddy White is still a very capable player, and has the ability to beat a team almost single-handedly. Which is why the Buccaneers must find a way to stop Roddy White. That starts with Aqib Talib, who will likely shadow Roddy White throughout the game. Roddy White has averaged four catches for 48 yards and no touchdowns against the Bucs, and if Talib can keep him to that number they can be satisfied.
At least in this reporter's opinion, Jones is being disregarded based on the last 2 games. Big mistake and I think Ryan takes advantage of that. If he doesn't get his first carreer TD this week, then I'll be back later for a crow sandwich.

This reporter clearly knows nothing about football... in game 1 he had 5 receptions for 71 yards vs the Bears defense.. and against the Eagles he had 3 receptions for 29 yards...both good defensesRoddy White only has 84 yards in two games...and Jones had more yards in each game

Jones will go off this week... and so will Roddy White

This is a great topic to discuss this morning, because I really don't know what to do with Julio this week when I have other options. So let's keep this discussion to helpful commentary please, I would greatly appreciate a good discussion.

Came in hoping to read something that would make me feel better about having drafted Julio in one of my leagues. Now I feel like I just had one potato chip and someone just ran of with the damn bag.

FWIW, I sat him last week, but I feel better about his chances this week so into the lineup he goes.

Inserted over Harvin ... at least Julio is getting snapcount ... Talib on Roddy, more slack this week for Jones ... 6/105/1. :boxing:
