Julius Jones v Mourice Morris (1 Viewer)

Has JJ earned the starting job by himself? Will it still be RBBC when MoMo returns from injury?

I really like what JJ did yesterday, seems to me maybe he secured 70% of the handoffs even when Mourice returns.

he moved the pile - eluded defenders - and didn't go down at first contact....as a homer fan, I haven't seen that since Ricky Watters. I think he'll get 60%....he looked tired near the end, slow getting up etc....been a while since he's had that many carries I guess.

Jones has looked ok at times in the past, but he always fails. I expect more of that. Morris is a much better, more versatile back.

Yeah that's why they signed JJ and Duckett in the first place.

JJ has a better chance to be "the man" RB-wise but look for another RBBC situation.

How do you figure?I think if JJ has another strong showing against the Rams the Seattle coaching staff is going to realize JJ is a pretty good back but one who can't function in a RBBC. Statistically he only had one poor year in Dallas, which was last year. He was pretty productive before that. Than this year he did not look very good when it was an open competition between him and Morris. He looked like a new man yesterday. I think he just has to be "the guy" in order to do well. So with another strong showing I think he can become the main guy and get 70% of the action.

I expect Jones to tear the Rams apart only because the Ram appear to be struggling. Will be interesting to see if the Rams stack the line of scrimmage allowing Hasselbeck to TRY and throw to his skeleton crew at WR.

After the bye my guess its still a split job. Time will tell.

So what's the strategy with Jones, particularly in dynasty formats?

-Roll with Jones; he's back

-Hold one more week in hopes of a big game against the struggling Rams, then trade?

-Trade now in hopes of getting some value

If trading, what are you getting; hoping to get?

I think I'm inclined to roll the dice in hopes that one more solid game will boost his value.

Was only able to watch the game on gamecenter.. the numbers were there once again. Looks like he could be making a strong case here to do well, even when MoMo returns...

Anyone who saw the game comment?

Seattle offensive line opened good holes for both Jones and Duckett. Both did a good job of falling forward and fighting for the extra yardage. However, the thing I took from this game was the the Rams are really bad. Not just kind of bad, but really really bad on both sides of the ball. I think the Giants in week 5 will be a much better measuring stick when looking to analyze the Seattle running game.
