It's a matter of reaping what was sown, I'm afraid.Anyway, I hope JC does better than last week. I'm playing Orton over Painter and have Gresham in the flex in one league. Jacksonville gives up a lot of points to TEs so Gresham will be a pretty popular "sleeper" this week.

Bad critique, shows obvious hate towards the OP and his opionion is obviously bias.See the difference in what helps give advice, and see what encourages people to hate and join the jumping on of pathetic hate...You know, like taking the type to talk about how a person types his display name. People who are not privy to your shtick probably see this thread and think, "this guy is a tool" before they even read anything. I was simply advising you to remove the toolishness from your thread title and your handle in order to give yourself a better first impression to those few who haven't already seen your posts.And yes, you do sPeLl liKe ThaT every time you write your own handle in your thread title. You never answered the question, though. Why do you write your handle that way? I'm not telling you it causes you to lose credibility in people's eyes to "hate" on you. It's just honest advice. And to answer your question, I don't write "write ups" in the SP for several reasons:

1) People who typically write these are (A) wannabe experts w/little to offer and (B) shamelessly attention needy

I'm neither.

2) I come hear to glean information and in return I offer useful information (when possible) inside threads that I find of interest in order to generate or further good discussion.

3) I don't have the time or interest to do so.

The SP is the best place I've found for useful tidbits of up to date FF info, but after a few minutes I get sick of it. Too many fools with AC questions, people with nothing useful to talk about (example thread: what is the worst dynasty trade you've been offered), and overly opinionated people acting like they know more than they do. I'd say there are about 4-5 threads worth reading per page of threads. This is the first time I've clicked on one of these threads and I did it JuSt CuZ I had to see if the content was nearly as annoying as the title.

straight up Troll looking to refute criticism
 
I really think everyone here should be more appreciative of people taking the time to do these types of posts. Anyway, back on topic.

If there was ever a week to not put Orton on a sleeper list, I would think it would be against the Chargers. As a former Orton owner, he has been mundane to below average in the games against them (averaging somewhere around 200 yards and a touch). I seem to even recall somebody pointing out he struggles against 3-4 defenses. If anybody knows that info, please share.

 
People, chill out. Some people play in 10-team leagues, some play in 14. If you play in a league where one of his sleepers is already rostered, just move on!

Friendly advice for the OP: you might want to be careful with your tone when replying to criticism, constructive or not. I think that's one of the reasons you draw so much hate. Sometimes your posts seem to be filled with a lot of venom.

 
It's biased.

Someone's opinion is biased. Not bias. They can have a bias towards you, or be biased against you, or have a biased opinion.

People have told you this before.

Hey dude, good thread. Everyone else is drinking some serious hatorade with all these ad hominems. It would be nice for their "constructive" criticisms to not be riddled with personal attacks. Keep up the good work Just Cuz.

Again, I appreciate the effort, but Redman is not a sleeper . . . he's a NFL bench player that (probably) will get starter's snaps . . .

and you said you would avoid commenting when people criticized you - that went out the window by post 10 or so . . .

this isn't 1996 when nobody had the internet. Fact is, every website covering fantasy football is aware of Isaac Redman. The sleeper potential is that he could outperform many regular starters and he is a relatively unkonwn commodity player to 90% of fantasy footballers. hardcore geeks like us dont think anyone is a sleeper but for most casual to semi competitve players, redman is a nobody.

Starting anyone on the Texans outside of Foster and Daniels seems like a bad idea if you ask me. Schuab won't go over 25 pass attempts. For that matter, neither will Campbell. This is will be a low scoring affair. BTW, the over/under is 49. Bet the under!!!!!!!!!!

Your welcome, sorry for the clutter in the thread. I do my best, I just try to come up with logic from research as to why some sleepers will perform, as we all already know, you can never be sure.
 
Great picks on KO and IR, but Texan D is a dangerous pick, I don't think they can stop McFadden IMO.

(Disclosure: not a McFadden owner)

I have been thinking about creating a set of weekly sleeper picks by dipping our cat's (Mr. Meowsers) paws in ink and letting him walk across a FBG weekly cheatsheet, selecting the first player outside the top-20 at each position he steps on first.

I will then tally up each player's final weekly ranking and compare them to Cuz's picks. I am willing to put $500 on the line that Mr. Meowsers will mop the floor with Cuz's rear from weeks 6-17.

Any takers?

Have you seen CuZ's picks? It's like a built in point spread to get them on an even playing field. What Mr. Meowers might be lacking in regards to in-depth analysis as compared to CuZ, he definitely makes up for in quality personnel decisions.Trust me, there is NO way he would have taken Orton last week.

You nailed Walter and did alright on Gresham but Orton? ugh. That was so bad that Tebow came in. Houston did ok in my scoring format but after ALs death you did not have a chance on that.

On a side note, The mods have got to put a stop to the childish posting that is going on here. The OP actually writes something up and people will bash him for what we all try to do, predict the future. JC dont stand a chance when people will find anyway to hate on him, its like preschool one does it and all the other kids jump on. Why because I'm the only one not jumping on him? :boxing: You are aware this is a site where the only way to express words on anything is using the same 26 letters on a keyboard everyone uses, so everyones style is alike, right? :confused: I already have been told by "Loser Nation" that I'm Just Cuz on a number times. It dont bother me.

Walter was a very good pick. Not sure I agree about Gresham as he was off by 40 yards. The Houston defense was ok but not spectacular. Orton was terrible. Redman was off by quite a bit. I would consider one hit,one terrible miss and 3 marginal misses. Still an improvement over last week though.
