Unlike a lot of you phonies, I actually live in this realm. I am part of a mixed race family, and I do a ton of work in the community counseling and helping recovering alcoholics and drug addicts, many of whom are black.But keep painting me up as a racist if that makes you feel better.

It's funny, the white liberals that go to the greatest lengths to prove their affinity for minorities often have very little contact with said minority groups. I grew up with black people, my business partner is black, I have a transgendered person in my family, my family is of mixed race.... and so when I debate these issues it's not just an opportunity to bludgeon the other side with name-calling, it's personal.

Every time I want to bow out gracefully, you people just keep posting these gems.

You do know, don't you, that "some of my best friends are black" is a laughable way to go about arguing why a person's ideas are not offensive.

I've generally found that if someone has a good relationship with [Race/Class of people], he doesn't feel the need to remind others about his good relationship with [Race/Class of people].

Sterling got killed because he's a billionaire public figure with a long history of racist practices who owns an NBA team whose players are largely black in a league whose players are largely black. If his biggest claim to fame was banging Blake Griffin instead of employing him and a bunch of other black guys while also being a long-detested billionaire NBA owner and slum lord nobody would care what he said. As silly as the whole whining about "reverse" racism thing has gotten these days, your example doesn't even rise to that level of silly. It's several levels of silly removed from that.
