And that's why I did it. Willis is an okay back but Alexander, in theory, is/was a beast. Now, Alexander's got two weeks left before he comes back and who knows how effective he'll be for his first few weeks back as well.

That was how I sold the deal and sadly, now I'm second guessing it. It's been processed so it's just buyer's remorse at this point.

If you are on the cusp of making the playoffs, getting a RB to contribute v. being on the bench is a good thing. THere is another thread that may be of benefit.

FWIW, there's a reason why the SA owner wanted to trade. Just wondering...did he approach you or you him?I'd be wary of Alexander's foot, but then again, who knows he may be completely healthy? He wasn't doing that great before the injury though, so who knows?!

I approached him. I'm just hoping to tread water until Alexander's back in action in full. If not, well, not every gamble pays off. I definitely put myself in a weak position for the short term. I'm stuck starting Dom Rhodes, Reggie Bush or -ulp- Chris Perry alongside Portis until then.
