dropped passes during the year. Sometimes deep balls would go right down the chute a la Troy Williamson.Lions fan here who is not familiar with Titus. I don't know if you watched the whole thing. After he does the hands thing in the beginning he talks for a bit. Then at around 2:40 - 2:50 mark it starts to show some of his highlights on the field. Really shows his KR/PR skills too. At worst he is DET's version of Hester, IMO. Of course he played in the WAC and it's going to be a big challenge going to the NFL but still the kid has moves and speed.Lions fan here who is not familiar with Titus. I got him at pick 37.Im on board, i just drafted him in the early 2nd round of my rookie draft.
At worst he is one of the best KR/PR of all time? Really? At worst?I don't know if you watched the whole thing. After he does the hands thing in the beginning he talks for a bit. Then I'm happy/lucky I got him in Z8 at 2.12!I was going to wait until after my rookie drafts to start a Titus Young Bandwagon/you heard it here first type of thread. I didnt like seeing someone else start a thread here at FBG before my drafts started, but im glad it got pushed to page 2 pretty quick. Its funny how after a player gets a hype thread around here his Zealots ADP goes up a full round.Anyway, back to Young. I am truly shocked that he is falling to the end of the 2nd round, and into the 3rd in many cases. He is probably the best WR with the ball in his hands in this draft. He is small, and lacks ideal strength, but his hand/drop issues are really overblown. He has sticky fingers and catches the ball well away from his body. He isnt Desean Jackson, but he looks like he could be a slightly bigger, slightly slower, equally as quick, better on short routes, and one concussion wouldnt stop him from catching balls over the middle. He is one of the most sure things in this draft(skill positions) and i would have taken with a top 5-8 pick if i had to(im in Zealots, so maybe a little lower in leagues that dont reward for kick returns). It might take him a couple years to really hit his stride, but im really looking for a Desean Jackson type early impact in Detroit this season(depending how long this stupid ### lockout lasts). Its especially scary to think wat he is going to do on turf in that Detroit offense with alll the room he is going to have with Calvin on the other side. Other than the top 2 WR's(Green/Jones) Young would likely be the next WR off my board, depending on league. I might take Little ahead of him in PPR's/non kick return leagues, but would have a hard time even doing that. This isnt a knock on Smith and Cobb, i like both of them too, especially Smith(look for him to have a possible Mike Wallace impact on the Ravens), but i like Young that much. Feel good about grabbing him anywhere in the 2nd, especially for you Zealot guys. Edit spelling

Same could be said for Desean coming out of college.Alas Titus is not nearly as fast as Desean (4.53 vs 4.35) and is a bit bigger. I think he'll have good opportunities alongside Megatron and fit into that offense pretty well.I like the skills...but hate the 'tude.
Young ran a 4.40 at his proday according to this:Same could be said for Desean coming out of college.Alas Titus is not nearly as fast as Desean (4.53 vs 4.35) and is a bit bigger. Not suggesting he is as fast as Jackson, but im not sure its fair to say he is not nearly as fast as Jackson, especially when you watch Young on the field.Young officially was timed at slower than 4.5 seconds in the 40 at the combine.
He seized his second chance with times of 4.40 and 4.42 in Boise, for a combined 4.41.
Several other scouts told Young they clocked him at 4.35 seconds or faster
