Justin Durant -- out of the 3-4 front last week? (1 Viewer)

Hard to say.

Beat writers are speculating that it's a new injury, but there are no coaching/player comments yet and nothing from Michael Wright on Twitter.

I hope this was just an unlucky year for Durant, he has had quite a few injuries and seems to be missing a lot of time. It sucks because he seemed to put up very good numbers while healthy, but hard to keep a guy that can't stay healthy.

He ended up with a very good day, but he's not exactly racking up the tackles like he was earlier in the season - are they doing something different on defense which means he's seeing fewer opportunities? I'm nervous starting him at the moment...

Five straight weeks of below average tackle opportunity and six of the last seven. Only 18 rush attempts by the Texans last week; Durant tied for the lead in solos among his front seven teammates and added two big plays. He's not exactly been the clear LB1 I expected after the first couple of weeks, but he remains a solid LB2 with upside (which unfortunately doesn't set him apart from about 12-15 other guys).

last game against Miami

Daryl Smith 100%

Justin Durant 75%

Russell Allen 61%

Clint Ingram 57%

Brian Iwuh 4%

why he didn't play all the snaps.....as usual ??
This is very interesting and a strong pickup. It looks like the Jaguars pulled Justin Durant out of their 3-4 packages last week with Clint Ingram healthy, choosing to have Russell Allen inside instead. Durant still played in all the nickel packages.

Ingram was hurt again midway through the game and Durant was back in his usual every-down role. Ingram is currently listed doubtful for tonight's game. So Durant should be safe tonight -- the Colts are likely to put the Jags into the nickel a majority of the time anyway. However, it's certainly worth noting and monitoring.
