Yet another instance of Nance "getting it" and Sims being wrong. Why is Phil in a booth? He might be the worst of what is a pretty poor collection of color commentators.

 
Maybe it wasn't a fumble but he wasn't trying to throw it, his other hand came up to grab the ball.

Stupid call, and if it is correct, stupid rule.

 
Horrible call.. he was bring the ball back to the belly, and it fell out. There was no attempt of a pass.

Smith will have to score with his legs. I don't think they have guys who can get open in such tight space.

 
Why did Denver not take a timeout? There's one play left. Why not get the ball back with 50 seconds and 2 timeouts if the Chiefs score a TD on that one play?

 
these guys get paid millions and dont know clock management

Den should be calling TOs when KC has goal to go 1:45 left

and KC should be letting clock run as far down as they can so Peyton has no time

neither did that

 
You gotta feel for KC here. This team has been decimated by injuries already. It's unreal how many, actually.

Way to show up after the fact. Rah rah rah puke.Denvers defense pretty much couldnt get the charles-less chiefs off the field and luck ripped through them.

Amazing talent... Horrible performances... It will be Manning to decide wins not this ultra under performing D.

If Den had called timeout like some had suggested, and KC saved their final timeout, wouldn't Den have had to punt from the end zone at the end? Sometimes you just gotta trust your D.

 
Was anyone else rooting for KC simply because it would have booted tons of people from their survivor pools?

I knew it was too good to be true. :kicksrock:

It would have been close, but unlikely. 6 plays run in 1:46 with 4 timeouts total. The clock running on non-timeout plays would have accounted for 1:20 on their own, which means the actual plays themselves would have had to take less than 26 seconds for a punt to be necessary.

Regardless, it should have been a 100% no brainer with zero downside after KC used their timeout. But John Fox has proven many times that kind of stuff is beyond him.

That's a good call but the previous 59 minutes gave very few reasons to trust them.
