Brosweiler, Siemian, Lynch, Keenum, Flacco, Allen, Rypien, Drew Lock stinks

Looks like Mel Gordon will not be used but wasn't Inactive to punish any FFM that thought they could slide him out there.

Was ranked 15th on some sites this morning.

Drew Lock has no idea how to play in the pocket. 2 plays in a row he refuses to throw it away. Unnecessary sack. Pick 6.

Denver running the ball at will with Lindsay.

Shurmer: Time to put Gordon in and let Drew Lock sling the ball around

Lock has potential--he is young and these are the kind of mistakes young QBs make. Denver isn't going anywhere this year, so this is a good time for him to learn

He does have to tone down his inner-Cutler though and learn to throw it away.

Well, this is doing well for my Mahomes under 270 yards passing......  but . :wall:

Did Gordon seriously get a few touches and fumbled?

it just gets worse and worse for him, remember when he was holding out last Summer?
it was his first or second touch. the signing was so stupid and a slap in the face to Lindsay, who is and has been the far better RB ever since Lindsay broke into the league

He better show some improvement soon cause he has not looked good from what I have seen so far this year.  He just looks uncomfortable and not confident every time he drops back.

I agree, but with this line would you feel at ease back there? He needs to understand every play is not 30 yards. He needs to work on his underneath route reading and they need to run, run, run more and pay Lindsay his money.

I don't know if he is the answer, but this defense has been doing all they can to keep Denver in games.

I'm surprised how many 3rd downs Edwards-Helaire has played so far. Last 3 weeks he really hasn't been in on 3rd downs much, he's been on the field for a good number of them so far.

Yep, the defense is playing well today all things considered.  Lock just looks too careless.  On the pick-6 play, the instant there was pressure, he just chucked it with no touch or anything,  Just a terrible throw.  Feels like he needs to be coached better as well.

hard to draw a firm conclusion here as since they are playing Denver and up 15, it's pretty much garbage time at this point

I guess I don't understand the targeting rules in the nfl. Sorenson has led with the crown of his helmet on Lindsay twice. Knocked him out of the game on the 2nd hit.

Even in those situations Darrel Williams had been in. Here they're not just not defaulting to Williams either... I mean CEH went over a week w/o seeing a 3rd down snap.

the crazy thing is Denver's D has played well holding KC's o to 10 points. Shurmer has schemed WRs open on nearly every pass play. But Lock has zero pocket presence, doesn't progress through his reads, and holds the ball until he's sacked. Except on the pick 6. He managed to get rid of it there. Same story different year for Denver, who stubbornly looks like they are refusing to actually tank for a real QB.

Not like Elway would draft the right one anyway.  I defended him before, but he clearly sucks at drafting QBs and hiring a good head coach. Hard to win in the NFL when you can't get either of those right.

true story. team needs an owner. then a new front office. there is zero leadership and zero accountability for the guys in the fo.

I believe the jury is out on Lock at this point, but the ownership issue needs to be solved and I think Elway needs to step down.
