Guy looks like the villain from a giant killer robot movie, or a Ninja Turtles movie, or something. Why doesn't everyone wear such an uber cool facemask? Plus you don't have dudes poking their nonsense into your grill. Seems like win-win to me.

Shark Pool nerds> what say ye?

i like it because it reminds me of a salad shooter and that was my favorite christMas gift one year a while ago maybe like 5 years

Scott Player ... the opposite of cool.
Dude, single bar-istas rock, old-school style. Paul Brown invented them. Theismann was the last non-kicker to wear the bar-tubular. Player's had one screw on each side so he could yank it out of the way on punts and back into place on coverage.

Uni-bars are bad-### blood-and-guts football. They say, "I am a swashbuckling madman devil-may-care lothario, willing and ready to sacrifice body and brain and a few teeth for the cause."

Bulluck might as well be wearing a goalie mask or a semi grill.

:goodposting: You're on your own here, bro. That thing is FUG!

The last "old-school" facemask I liked was Mark Duper's.

Ah, Super Duper. But if you like the double bar, I am surprised that your choice isn't the helmet of the guy who learned the playbook by the light of the jukebox

 My favorite player ever. Also like Csonka's helmet.

The story I heard is that defenders were less anxious to get their hands in his face once they mangled a finger or two inside of that hook.

Awesome, never heard that before.Still the best "face mask" of all time.

Justin Tuck's 2012 facemask

Justin Tuck didn't like it last season when opponents jabbed their fingers into his helmet and yanked, presumably to aggravate his neck injury. (Can't imagine why. That sounds downright pleasant.) One way to prevent such ungentlemanly conduct is to make it impossible for anyone to stick their fingers through a facemask. And that's how we get Tuck's new 2012 helmet that's half hockey goalie, half Hannibal Lecter and all parts overprotective.
