2011 Coach Otis All-Value Team (1 Viewer)

Did anyone notice this Hardesty kid got more touches than the big white dude this weekend?

Locking up one half of the Browns vaunted run offense = value. Pair that with Bradford hucking the ball around. championship!:screeeeeeeeeeeeeeeech:

Anyone notice they took it easy on the white guy because he lost a ton of weight when sick and now the coaches are publicly saying the big white dude needs MORE touches?

I saw Hardesty drop 4 passes. Other things I saw this weekend- Bush do nothing at RB, Bradford &Kendricks continue their seasons of doing nothing, Edward Royal watch some real Wrs play from the sidelines & Dev Henderson catch as many passes as the armchairs.Crash landing hawk. Hope 0-4 is treating you well.

ouch :lmao:

Can we get a mod to change the title to "2011 Coach Otis All-Bust Team"?
If Ryan Matthews is a bust in your league you have an odd scoring system.
Even a broken clock is right twice a day. Better release a screech so folks know to trade him high. That said, I found Tolbert exactly two spots behind Matthews even though he was drafted 4 rounds later. Of course he is a San Diego RB so I guess you get credit for that.

Coach, how long should I stick with Eddie Royal? I've got a golden opportunity to drop him for a WR that.....well.....actually plays and catches passes. should i pull the trigger? i'd hate to give up on him too soon.

TIA

Stick with him. Otis is never wrong about these things.

Just wanted to publicly thank Coach Oats. He sent a PM telling me to start Michael Jenkins and the K.C. defense.

:screech:

QB

Sam Bradford

Most folks out there rank him somewhere in the teens for this season. That's a nice try, but not quite right, because he'll finish a top-10 QB this year.
Ouch.

RB

Montario Hardesty

"But Otis, that big Hillis guy is so good." It's 2011 now, gang. Not 2010. Stop living in the past. And in 2011, things are different, and Hardesty is the starting running back for the Browns by week 5, and he puts up gaudy numbers for the rest of the year, and then in 2012 we're all sitting around this time of year talking about how he's a top 5 pick in 2012 drafts.
Oof.
Cedric Benson

I love it when a guy is all but guaranteed 300 carries and his ADP slips into the 50s.
Meh.
WR

Desean Jackson

Trade down, let your shark buddy have Andre Johnson, and profit to the tune of 1300+ yards, double-digit touchdowns, and good clean I toldya so fun.
Bleargh.
Greg Little

We're not usually keen on rookie WRs, but Greg Little has us licking our chops.
Yow.
TE

Lance Kendricks

Draft the more important players early in your draft, plug Kendricks into the TE slot at the end, and then call and make reservations to take your girlfriend out to a fancy dinner with your league prize money.
Splat.

A more spectacular performance than even the 2010 Coach Otis All-Value Team! It really takes skill to fail so dramatically. Great theater, Coach Otis!

I swear I am not trying to be a troll...

I put Otis and all this "Hawk" BS on ignore but I still see this thread. While it is kind of laughable how bad this is, I still would like to not see any posts he started either. Can anyone tell me why this part of the ignore feature is not working? The ignore feature is FANTASTIC but working in this sense for me. TIA...

HawkAlert

Are you guys scooping up Ridley + Vereen? If not, I assume it's because the hawks in your league already have them? Basically, what I'm saying here is "hey man, we're doing to do a raffle to give away a million dollars, and we're only gonna give out two tickets in the raffle. Do you want these two tickets?" Don't be a fool. Take the tickets. Profit with the cool breezes in your face and sun on your tailfeathers.

Also, I know he's already rostered in your DynaZealot IIVX Big Money League, but that doesn't mean it's too late to trade for Reggie Bush. It will be by week three, when some gup in your league is dancing around his living room and pummeling you with texts about what a genius he is and how badly he's demolishing you in this week's games due to the explosive stat-compiling machine that is Reggie Bush. It's difficult to recover from that sort of thing. So wise up, because a bird in the hand is worth less than a hawk with the Bush.
Update???

Because this is too awesome for the filter to handle. Clearly.

Supplemental HawkAlert

By the way, I totally forgot to remind you that our last year's pick of Eddie Royal is still good. In fact, it's arguably even more good, because now he's so far down below the radar he's practically floating out there in the shark-riddled sea. The reality is that he's way better than last year's 59 catches would indicate. Look for him to break 80 catches, finish at around WR23, and contribute to lots of fantasy wins this year.
:excited:

Jerome Harrison this year: double or nothing. That's TWO fat bucks for each of you if Coach is wrong.
Thanks coach Childress Otis. You've just doomed my $35k contest team to an early exit. Any other players that you want to ruin before the deadline approaches or are you satisfied with the destrution to date? Can we get a list of busts please?
Talk about dooming a guy. When can I expect my $2?

Updated Current Hawklist

Here are the guys Hawks are buying/should already have bought.

QB

Sam Bradford

RB

Montario Hardesty

Ben Tate

Cedric Benson

Reggie Bush

Ryan Mathews

Ridley + Vereen pairing

WR

Desean Jackson

Greg Little

Eddie Royal

Devery Henderson

Looks like the complete hawkslist is here.

Otis' shtick is much better than LHUCKS. LHUCKS is probably a bit less hopeless at picking fantasy players.

You guys just don't get it. This was merely his free contribution. He was having a little fun.

The bread and butter of Coach Oat's service is his exclusive pay content.

His weekly "Start 'em and Sit 'em" feature along with his recommended waiver wire pickups are worth their weight in gold! :moneybag:

This.Lhucks' posts are devoid of any humor and are aimed at annoying as many people in the Pool as possible.Otis is a a harmless pigeon learning to fly. :pipsqueaaak:

Ok gang, surely there were a few small hiccups in this year's rankings. It turns out the interns wrote a few bad macros and combined some of the stats wrong, and as a result a couple of players were flipped. We'll be back on this next year and I've already got some big things in the works.

Thanks for being a part of all the hawk stuff we do here.

-Coach

Lot of hawkhaters in here. You guys realize that most fantasy playoffs haven't even started yet, right? There's still plenty of time for these picks to pan out.
