Kellen Winslow - Suspended 4 games (1 Viewer)

PED's? Hmmm...maybe he should get his money back. They weren't working.
Led the team in catches and was tied for the lead in TD's

Not saying he was a world beater, but he was absolutely having a positive impact. Not bad for a guy on the wrong side of 30 with a ruined knee.

That said, I'm not surprised. The guy was coming off really moody. Basically throwing a fit every time he didn't get the ball. You figure a normal dude would be happy to still be contributing and collecting a paycheck.

Cumberland definitely worth grabbing in all deep leagues or if you're TE desperate with not much else available in a 12 teamer.

I thought Cumberland was due for some extra looks anyhow, this just cinches it.

8 targets, 7 catches, 139 yards, 2 TDs is a guy that deserves a shot at a bigger role.

I'm surprised we don't see more guys in the twilight of their career testing positive.

What did Winslow have to lose? Not much. His career has been teetering on over for a couple years now.

I missed the moody incidents apparently and I watch every play of every Jets game.

Just unreal and tired of hear stuff like this. These guys all need to stop trying to take shortcuts to improve their careers.
He's not trying to improve his career....he's trying to extend it as much as possible. His body is ####ed....what's he supposed to do....call it quits and work as a grocery boy? If I were him I'd do everything possible to get that extra million $$$ too. Others are doing it but he's supposed to take the high ground and say "my career's over and I guess I'll just have to mop floors because I would never, ever take drugs even if it nets me millions of dollars", like most of us would say....right?

Nothing came out during games, but there were a couple of stories about him throwing minor hissyfits after the games this season when he didn't play so much/get many targets.

I'd try to find them, but unfortunately his entire google news feed is now packed with stuff about the suspension. So you'll just have to trust me....

People need to pump the "poor Winslow" brakes. He's hardly going to suffer through life mopping floors.

Winslow's Rookie Contract

The contract is worth $29 million and could bring him up to $40 million if he reaches all his incentives. The deal includes $16.5 million in combined signing and option bonuses.

If he spent it all, too ####!ng bad

Impending free agent Kellen Winslow is not expected to face a suspension as a result of his November arrest for possession of medical marijuana.

Winslow was arrested for possession of synthetic marijuana in East Hanover, N.J. Though it's illegal in many states, synthetic marijuana isn't among the drugs banned under the NFL drug policy. Winslow's free-agent market will be severely affected by his age (30) and lengthy history of knee problems

so synthetic is not banned... makes it even dumber when players get caught with the real stuff
