Kenny Britt, WR, Tennessee Titans (1 Viewer)

if you own Britt, and you owned him last year, it would be almost impossible to sit him if he plays . . .

a lot of owners got burned last year one game where he didn't start (discipline) and STILL went off . . .

I'll take a guy who has off the field problems any day over the injury risk player. Much easier to plan for.
He is also an injury risk. Already has a sore hammy and missing practice. (A Titans Message board find - sorry no link)
Great, I hope he doesn't play in the preseason so I can steal him in the 8th round.
Drafted him in a PPR last night with my pick in the 8th round-#96 as my #3 WR. Reading this thread makes me :excited:

I drafted him at 10.5 in a 10 team league. He was the 29th WR taken. He was my third WR overall but I have Megatron and Nicks as my starters. The draft was on the 1st so he was cleared of the suspension by than. I think people don't want to waste a pick on someone who is a headcase. I am hoping he blows up and I can move him for a need. Though, I don't have any glaring weaknesses at the moment.

Kenny Britt: Munchak: Kenny Britt will be turned loose

Kenny Britt - WR - TEN - Sep. 5 - 3:43 pm et

Titans coach Mike Munchak confirmed that Kenny Britt will be "turned loose" in Week 1 despite being limited in August with a hamstring injury.

Munchak says the Titans have no need to "tiptoe" around the injury anymore. Britt is going to be an easy top-20 fantasy receiver play against a terrible Jaguars secondary in the opener, even after a relatively slow training camp. Sep. 5 - 3:43 pm et

Kenny Britt is THE value play at WR this year, not just one of the value plays, THE value play.

In his last healthy game he had 225 yards and three TDs...that's one game. He scored a TD in each of his last 6 healthy games.

Let me repeat that...his last healthy game he had 225 yards and three TDs. He scored a TD in each of his last 6 healthy games.

His YPC is a sick 17.6.

He accomplished all of that with garbage at QB.

With Hasselbeck at the helm I foresee a breakout year for this kid.

85 receptions

1350 yards

11 TDs

Huge, huge value this year and will likely lead a lot of fantasy teams to success given his laughable ADP and WR ranking which is in the 25-35 range.

I'm embarrassed for the entire fantasy football community on this one...that isn't shtick, I'm literally embarrassed for most of the prognosticators out there that missed on this kid.

Drafting kids like this is how you win. Period.

FBG should pin this thread, people are going to win their leagues because of it.

Britt's 2nd TD was easily more impressive. He showed great hands, body control, feet, and use of his size. I'm not ready to call him a wr1 or anything like that yet, but he's certainly looking like a high upside wr2.

excellent post - and then you ruined it by quoting it yourself . . .

His first TD was pretty fluky, but he did show excellent speed while outrunning everyone. The 2nd TD was much more impressive even if it was just a 2-yarder. Hasselbeck's short-comings might keep Britt from being a truly elite WR, but he should easily be an every-week WR2 while healthy.

what do you need to see him as a #1? he had huge weeks with average Qbs with collins/young. im not saying MH is the answer but def a tier above those two. hes had no time with MH but still put this up today. Wouldnt most call someone like Santana Moss a #2? its a no brainer who id rather have. if some of you still have your doubts, its nice cause theres still time for me to get him low in my others leagues.

you can talk about his hamstrings or his penchant for getting into trouble, but talentwise he's a WR1 . . .

He's on my team. And I started him. There's nothing more I'd like than for him to keep this up. I'm just not going to go overboard yet. I do like that his gamelogs from last year show consistant stud production. Let me see a few more games of good health and numbers, and I'd be more willing to thrust him into the wr1 tiers. Not yet. I will however be keeping him and not moving him.
