There were some rumblings last week that he was close to returning but based on his quotes, it sounds like he's still several weeks away from returning. I wouldn't be surprised if the Eagles were targeting him to return in Week 8 after the bye. Just a guess. Here's a story from today:
Receiver Kevin Curtis is getting closer.
Curtis, who is recovering from a sports hernia, has been working with the scout team. He again practiced on a limited basis on Thursday and has not targeted a date for his return.
“I’m anxious to get out there but I want to make sure that I do it the right way and don’t set myself back further,” Curtis said. “I’m just making sure I’m feeling good and get out there in a game situation.”
Curtis said he hasn’t suffered any setbacks during his rehab but hasn’t tried to run full speed or make cuts. He appeared to be running hard during practice.
“It’s a whole different game when I’m out there on grass and having some guy covering you and running full speed and cutting and planting,” he said. “I’m not quite ready for that yet, to totally cut it loose.
“It doesn’t feel 100 percent perfect, but I’ve got some work to get back to where I was before I did it.”
