Kevin Curtis (1 Viewer)

I do not have many bench spots and there are a couple of good guys on waiver wire that other managers dropped and/or someone always starts hot (think Colston two years ago). Should I be patient? How long till he comes back? What is the word, what do you think?

As an Eagles homer I've been hearing he'd be back possibly between Week 4 and Week 6 of the playing schedule but reports out Phildelphia indicate that he is recovering a head of schedule. So he could be back possibly when they Pittsburgh but more likely you should aim for against Chicago.

When he comes back can he become the #1 in Philly? I drafted him in the 13th round (huge value) but not sure if he will be worth holding on to.

Can he put up WR2 or WR3 kind of points when he's back?

He's a legitimate WR1 when healthy. The issues are:- does he come back in week 4 or week 8 (extremes)- is there any residual, as there was for example with McNabb

Whats the latest on K-Curt?

Does DeSean help or hurt him?

I'm thinking it could expand the underneath and slot if DeSean can remain the deep threat he his.

McNabb spreads it around though...

CentralPA, How about Reggie? He should be about ready.

 Is he worth picking up this week?
As the guy above asks, is he worth the pick up? If so, now is the sneaky time to get him. I am holding K Walter and think Curtis can provide more long term value simply by being on a better team. HOMERS any insight??

Also, Brown is supposed to play this week. Is it a given that Curtis will be better than Brown? He'll be coming back later. And soon Brown, Jackson, Smith, and Westbrook will all be getting targets in addition to Curtis. Will there be enough to go around to make Curtis (or Brown) valuable?

Good point, but I look at last years 1110 yds + 77 receptions and I gotta believe in a PPR league, he is worth the gamble and at the very least, a legit bye week fill in.

IMO, IF Curtis can get healthy he is a much better WR than Reggie Brown. He also seems to have a better rapport with McNabb. I was really looking forward to seeing what he would do with a healthy McNabb and a year in the offense under his belt. The Eagles throw enough that Curtis will have value, although if he does return healthy I don't think Reggie is worth a roster spot in most leagues anymore.

The original plan was for Curtis to be back after the bye, Week 8. Reid said he is ahead of schedule and he could dress Week 6 or maybe even 5. I am not counting on it, but all news is optimistic. It was much less severe than McNabb's. I would still expect a little "getting back up to speed" time though because they say it is hard to work on your core with that injury.

There were rumors during camp before Curtis' injury that DeSean would become a starter early, beating out Reggie. As an Eagles fan, I never expect much out of Reggie.

Last year, they didn't have Smith or Jackson (well, Smith played in 10 games and started 9, but clearly was less than 100%). Smith and Jackson have 18 of the 51 receptions for the team at this point... I don't think they are going away.

Guy in my league just dropped him.

I'll probably grab him, but I suppose it's anyone's guess how much he'll be used upon his return.
