Kevin Jones or Reggie Bush (1 Viewer)

Kevin Jones is slotted to start from here on in. He and Reggie Bush are both the explosive RBs, or is that a myth. Bush's career long is something like 28 yards...

The question: how much of a difference between these guys will be chalked up to the difference in offensive philosophy?

Bush as a 30 touch a game animal on a spotty NO team

KJ as a 20 touch a game guy on a pass-happy offense

much of this is determined by k.jones' health.

if (IF) jones were to possibly stay healthy, he has all kinds of upside in martz's offense, especially in a PPR league. he may even have the ability to outproduce bush.

i just have a hard time fathoming a full season of a healthy kevin jones, so it's hard question to really ponder.

One says it is Kevin Jones, one says there is no question...but doesn't say which one. The 3rd says Bush.Anybody out there have an opinion to add to the 1-1-1 results so far?

I think KJ will have the better NFL career if he comes back 100% from his foot injury. I own both, so I'm not playing favorites. The difference will be Jones' ability between the tackles compared to Bush. Bush will have more big play ability, but Jones will be the better RB IMO. In PPR leagues the difference will be closer, but overall, Jones should have a better career IMO. If Jones isn't 100%, then I give it to Bush going away.

I agree this is much closer than many people would think. IMO Bushs' role is being defined as a RB that needs to get the ball in space, and most likely will split the backfield with someone throughout his career. Jones is a great receiver and can run in between the tackles. He's one of the few guys out there that's truly an every down back. Obviously there are some rather large injury concerns that call his dynasty value into question. Just as a point of reference 2006 numbers;12 games for Kevin Jones: 1209 combined and 8 TDs16 games for Reggie Bush: 1307 combined and 8 TDs.

Unfortunately, I fear Kevin Jones is destined for the same NFL junkyard as his former VTech back mate.

Bush in a land slide.

Considering that most would argue Bush "hasn't done all that much" since McCallister went out, he's still netted 18/15/14 in my .5ppr league. Didn't check, but I'm sure that puts him in the top 5 or 6.

Just wait until he actually starts scoring and producing.

Say what you want about him being overrated, but Bush is proving to be a statistical machine, and last time I checked that's the lifeblood of FF. :bag:

I have Kevin Jones on my team, but i would vote Bush......
What he said. This is the third year I've had Jones. Somehow he's always the "best available" player when it's my turn to draft, or, like this year, when I pick him up off the waiver wire. Whenever I start him, I always pray that he doesn't break or get stuffed. I would take Bush over him in a heartbeat.

I own Kevin Jones in a deep keeper league and got such a good value on him that I'll probably own him until he retires whether his career is a long or short one from here on out.

If the Reggie Bush owner (who got Reggie at a far worse value -- he can probably only be kept another 4 years or so) offered me an even up swap, I'd take it laughing all the way. This really isn't a question. It'd be like asking if Chad Johnson or Matt Jones would be the better wide receiver from here on out.
