Kevin Kolb (turf toe) watch. Juicy matchup vs STL (1 Viewer)

FBGS has him pretty high. STL has been a goldmine for opposing Qb's besides that Brees/saints anomaly. Evidently they think he will play. You have to think if he can play he will play as he knows he can throw on em and get his stats right.

Cardinals | Kevin Kolb wishes turf toe was called something else

Tue, 01 Nov 2011 18:23:22 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB Kevin Kolb (toe) said Tuesday, Nov. 1, that he wished turf toe was called something else, as it sounds like a minor issue. "I wish (that) it was called something different than 'turf toe, it sounds like I'm a weenie," Kolb said. He isn't sure if he'll be able to practice Wednesday, Nov. 2, and is uncertain of his status for Week 9 against the St. Louis Rams. If he can't go, QB John Skelton would play.

Cardinals | John Skelton could start in Week 9

Tue, 01 Nov 2011 06:00:54 -0700

Arizona Cardinals QB John Skelton could start in Week 9 if QB Kevin Kolb (toe) is unable to play. At this point, Kolb said he has "no idea" if he will play. Kolb had his right foot in a walking boot Monday, Oct. 31, to protect a turf toe injury. Kolb said he has had the injury before but not "near this severe."

We finally get a great matchup for Larry Fitzgerald for the first time in weeks, and Kolb is nicked. :kicksrock:

Not that Kolb has helped Larry back to elite status.

i don't know what happened, but the front seven of the Rams was unreal. It seems like they were in the offensive backfield on every other play. Long and Laurinits were serious.

could always be a conservative grind it out kind a game where beanie and sjax dominate but not as much as the punters, and the final score is something like 13-10.

I'm looking elsewhere for points. I added Kolb before last week eying his match-up for this week with Stafford off, but now I don't trust him, even if he does play.

I don't like these reports. I cut him today for Tavaris Jackson with Staff on bye for me. I thought they might be a coin flip as far as guys in the 10-15 preseason range to make a top 7 push. 1 for 2 on that gamble.

Kevin is not playing this week, probably not next week either. His foot is black and swelled twice its normal size. First time I have ever saw turf toe, and was shocked it looked that bad the next day.

He needs to take the next couple weeks off and let that thing heal.

See you Week 11, Kevin.

juicy matchup?? Looks like someone didn't watch the Rams/Saints game.
Or Kolb at all this season.Would still prefer Orton over this clown. At least you wouldn't be stuck with Kolb's albatross of a deal.Worst case scenario at QB for the Cards. At least with McNabb / Orton you're paying them to be a bridge. With Kolb, you're stuck with a mediocre QB for the forseeable. I pray that the Cards don't compound this mistake by passing on Luck (should they happen to be in line for him). And as I've said since Week 1 this year, I think they are a sleeper for him. I don't see them winning another game. (Indy is probably the favorite. I think Miami finds a way to win a game or two)
