Kevin Payne (1 Viewer)

He seems to be ballin' it up as SS for the Bears. Just wondering if anybody has the scouting on him. I'm surprised nobody has picked him on our WW. He has a couple of 8 tackles games as well as two 6 tackle ones to go along with 3 INTs.

Can't tell you the skinny on him, but I can tell you that my dyansty team has a plethurah of above avg db's. So in planning for the future I offered another owner who is weak in the db column Kevin Payne and all he had to give me was an extremely low pick in the draft...before he acted on the offer I decided to revoke the offer and ended up starting Payne last week...needless to say he helped me win and he's is not going anywhere unless his play drops off!

I think there's a thread around here entitles 'chicago bears secondary', or something like that w/some info on him.

not a ton, though.

basically, he's a good player in a good spot --- I don't think that production's a mirage, although I'm not sure det's the best match up.

Is this a joke? Stelz was putrid in limited playtime last year.

KFFL) Larry Mayer, of ChicagoBears.com, reports Chicago Bears S Craig Steltz could challenge SS Kevin Payne for the starting job at strong safety.

So far in their team activities it seems Stetlz is lining up at free safety next to Payne. My guess is that Graham will start the year at free safety and Payne will have no problem being the starter at strong safety.
