Kiosk iPhone Repair -- Sketchy or Legit (1 Viewer)

iPhone is having issues with touch screen.  Happened to find a kiosk in a local retail center and the guy immediately knew what I was talking about -- asked a couple perfectly on-point questions, etc.  Can fix in a day or two for $110 -- guaranteed for a year, but has to pop the cover.  Any reason not to do this?

There are varying grades of quality screens. Apple charges close to that price for genuine screens on many models. That is very high for off brand screens.

If this is a 7 or earlier, I would expect proof that it is an OEM Apple brand screen.

For perspective a local reputable computing shop posts these prices:

iPhone 5/5c/5s/SE LCD/Digitizer replacement $24
iPhone 6 LCD/Digitizer replacement ONLY $24
iPhone 6 Plus LCD/Digitizer replacement $39
iPhone 6s LCD/Digitizer replacement $39
iPhone 6s Plus LCD/Digitizer replacement $49
iPhone 7 LCD/Digitizer replacement $59
iPhone 7 Plus LCD/Digitizer replacement $69
iPhone 8 LCD/Digitizer replacement $79
iPhone 8 Plus LCD/Digitizer replacement $89

I Googled this using some info he gave me and.. "Touch Disease".  Has to do with the motherboard -- not really the screen itself.  Apple charges $149 for the same service.  Will probably just go through them since it's not much more.
