The 2 best in the 2020 Draft are going to meet on Sunday and it should be a great game. I like the Bolts to win the game outright

I hope you are right.  I am a lifelong Chargers homer, and this game is huge for me in fantasy.  I have Joe Mixon and Mike Williams, and I am going against Ja'Marr Chase, Keenan Allen, and Dustin Hopkins.

 
Chargers may not be as good as I thought,Bengals may be better than I thought,so.......

Perfect I was all over Cinci and that really seals it.  😁

Chargers on back-to-back roadies and this one starts early out east.  Cinci and Burrow are feeling it, they're hungry.  I love his mindset, specifically what he said after dismantling the Steelers.

Awesome, should be a good game, Cinci when they are favored doesn't do that well, I can point to Jax earlier in the year and a few others they were favorites, I'd like to see them win as a favorite for a bit before I lay points with them. Wold much rather take the points with a guy like Herbert 

This isn't a game I would be shooting big bucks on, this is mostly for those office pools and weekly pick em all many of you throw $5-$10 in and hope for the best.

Disagree, Cinci is not the Cinci of old anymore, they have a legit top QB who is hungry and they are one confident team now.  The Chargers are the ones that are still turning the corner.  Herbert's exceptional but they are out of their element (morning roadie back east).  It's the Chargers who have more hurdles today they've yet to prove. How did that trip to Denver work out for them last week?  And now their weak run D will have Mixon to deal with.  All the better for Joe.

If Cinci's big hurdle, as you say, is yet to prove they can win as favorites, I got news for you.  This team doesn't give a #### about their past and that's not who's on the field today.  

$5 - $10???  LOL

No need to get bristled tiger, we'll see what happens in a few hours, I may eat crow.  Just surprised your main point is "proving they can win as favorites", but run with it I guess.

Good luck, seriously, I don't have enough money tied up in this one to do anything other than enjoy the game. I'd be happy to high five you if you're right. 

As an NFL fan this game should be highly entertaining. Burrow has been a little quiet of late with more on the running game, let's see if that script continues today.

Arizona went for it on 4th and 2 from the 20.

The nfl is defintiely becoming more risk averse in this regards.

Ive always been a “take your points” guy… because teams always seem to end up in a position where a field goal would have won it for them late… but what do I know.

There's a great article on ESPN about this.  The gist of it is 28 teams now employ a math nerd who go through probabilities on their computer up in the booth.  They basically crunch numbers and will flat-out tell the coach what should be done in each situation. 

The Broncos for example, clearly took the keys from Vic Fangio after his first year.  In the first game they went for it like 3 times in the first half.  He wouldn't do that in a year he's so defensive-minded.  Obviously, their new GM Paton (from Minnie) came in and said sorry Vic, but you're not making those calls anymore.

The article goes through all the numbers in teams over the last decade.  Analytics is in football big-time now.  I always thought coaches were way too conservative on 4th; too afraid to make "controversial" decisions and hear all about it after.  Job security more important to them.

San Diego 24...Miami 0 in the Epic before things turned around for the Phins, 1st thing I thought of watching the Chargers exploit a few mistakes and just bust this open.

Cinci burns a TO for a ####### extra point???  Then a delay of game, coming OUT OF THE TO!  And why are they going for 2 in the first place, it’s early in the 2nd.  Then they miss the extra point.  You HAVE GOT TO BE ####### KIDDING ME that just happened.  I thought the college games were yesterday.

I don't think they were evr out of it at 24-0 early 2nd, it's been a little over the top how fast the Chargers established their lead...this is going to be one of those games where it's possible because of the early lead, the Bengals will simply run out of time in the 4th. but as it stands right now, lots of time left in this game. 

 
Still a 2-TD advantage for Herbert who could help himself and the Bolts out a lot by closing the 2nd Q with some points, FG/TD whatever

Didn't see it happen. Just the aftermath. Doesn't sound like it's going well. He got it taped and put a glove on.

Me neither and it's not like they asked Burrow to run it in, he improvised. This would be a really bad injury as we've seen other QBs bust up fingers and go on Injured Reserve but I will say pinky fingers typically can be taped and maybe he can't continue today but next week i bet he could start for them.

It limits Chase and his down the field heroics he has displayed all season

 
Also here's the problem with Derwin James - he just disappears from games.  If he's ever going to be an elite player he's got to be consistent.

 
Recorded the game, catching up. Nice play by Herbert to tackle Bates on the fumble return. IMO a lot of QBs would not have even tried to make that play.
