Ladarius Green's value (2 Viewers)

Huge Charger fan here...new to the forum. I think this could set up for the perfect coming out party for Green. First of all the Chargers offensive line is the healthiest it's been since week 2 of the season, meaning Rivers might get more time in the pocket. Second, the Giants are without Pierre-Paul which is a blow to their pass rush. Third, if the Chargers lose this game, they really have zero chance of somehow backing into the playoffs. Locally here in San Diego McCoy has been getting pounded for being too conservative, this is the right game to let his freak flag fly. I think the stars are aligned and Ladarius can have a really big game. I picked him up and I am playing him. Why not? I'd rather swing for the fences. Good luck to all!

I have to decide on starting Green or Andre Holmes in my flex spot, leaning Green right now but fearing which ever one I leave on the bench is going to go off.

At this point are we really still debating Green?

He keeps showing potential and is trending up.

Royal is Questionable and if he does play, I still see Green used a ton.

Unless you have Graham, Gronk, Thomas or Witten, what's the debate?

I cut Reed for him, because of concussion issues and RG3 sucks and when I say sucks, I mean why is he starting for an NFL team right now.

Green is #4 TE in the league I have him over the last 4 weeks, maybe that makes my decision easier.

Green is back down to the bench for me as I have Julius Thomas back, but part of me is twitchy and would like to indulge in the ride !

Good luck guys, hopefully Green busts out a big one

The Giants have given up 7 TDs to TEs on the year, but 4 have gone to Witten in weeks 1 and 12.

Combined TEs stats allowed:

Dal 9/77/2

Den 7/52/1

Car 4/54/0

KC 2/27/0 (no McGrath, Fasano or Kelce here)

PHI 5/85/1

CHI 6/68/0

Min 4/36/0

PHI 4/33/0

Oak 2/22/0

GB 3/44/0

Dal 5/42/2

WAS 5/54/1

The tricky think about TE FFPA stats is that so few teams have really good QB-TEs combos (as we all know). Obviously Dallas and Witten exploited them 11 weeks apart.

yeah i have JT too and hes a clear start. Id love to sneak this guy into the flex but i think thats too risky

The guy is 6'6", 240 lbs and described on sportsline to have WR speed. Is this accurate? Why are the "experts" ranking him in the 13-15 or TE2 range.

Keep this in mind...Holmes broke out against the worst secondary in the NFL. Not only that, DAL didn't think Holmes was even worth keeping around on their practice squad...so clearly they underestimated his talent and there was a good amount of the "I'll show you" factor going on to fuel Holmes' performance. I think Holmes is legit, and the NYJ secondary can be exploited almost as much as DAL, but Holmes is on defenses' radars now. Streater doesn't scare anyone and Moore has been ruled out...Holmes should be seeing a lot of defensive attention on Sunday. If you're swinging for the fences with your flex spot, I like Green's chances of having a huge game more than I like Holmes' chances of having a repeat performance.

I have H. Miller penciled in now, but tempted by Green. Both have great matchups.
I have these two as well. I have Green penciled in. I think Miller is the safer play, but Green has the higher ceiling.

Because he runs a lot of his routes out of the slot and Eddie Royal hasn't been ruled out for Sunday's game. If Royal's active, he'll take away some of the snaps from Green. They're just hedging their bets, like any good expert would...but if you look at the TE tiers for this week, Green's listed right alongside Witten.

Also making the Green > Holmes decision in one league, but it's not really relevant because I have a bye, just starting a lineup for fun to see how I'd stack up in round 1. So I'm more inclined to go with the ceiling, possibly.

Are you guys really that serious to think this dude is gonna go off? Because I have him now in two leagues and am debating playing home over Lamar Miller or Ivory in one and CJnoK in another. I think I'd have to have my head examined to play him over Johnson but I am nervous about that Denver matchup. Still...guys are making me drink the kool aid here ;-)

He has the potential to have a huge game and has become more involved in their offense the last few weeks. He could easily lay an egg tomorrow but he also has a much higher ceiling than most any other late season wire pick up out there. If I could get 50 yards and a TD from him I will be very happy.

I have Julius, Cameron and picked up Green and Reed is sitting on waivers. If I get through this week my opponent next week will have Gates. So trying to block him from getting a good TE if Gates breaks down like he has the pst few weeks. Get Reed?

Which Te to drop? Green? Cameron?

Get Reed, drop Cameron.

The concern with Denver for Johnson is if they get behind early. He should still get about 5 passes though, which is more than Green is probably going to get.

Just nudged Kendall Wright (who I am a huge fan of) out of my flex spot for LG based upon all of the excitement in here. Actually feel pretty good about it right now.

Reed koolaid will run dry soon too.

Don't see this as a "must do" move...if you have Julius and Green, you're fine at TE for the playoffs. But if I had to pick between either Reed or Cameron for who has a better chance to be a top-5 scoring TE over the next 3 weeks, I'd pick Reed.

Cameron's strongest games came with Weeden and Hoyer...Campbell hasn't been good for him. Cameron is still a guy I'd feel comfortable with as my dynasty TE for next season when CLE has a new QB...but for the rest of this year, he's a TD-or-nothing guy.

The only TE I would play over Green this week is Jimmy Graham and Gronk. Green is locked for 100 yards and 2 TDs. Grats to those who are playing him.

I like the idea of Green, but would caution against giving up completely on either Reed or Cameron.

Cameron's targets are starting to increase again, and he's likely to get some targets with NE trying to shutdown Gordon this week. In weeks 15/16, Cameron also face CHI and @NYJ, which are in the top 10 most permissive DEF to TEs for Fantasy points (PPR).

Reed has just been hurt, and it's not something that will force him to ease back. It's been nearly 4 weeks since a last good game (which feels like forever), but no reason to think he doesn't hit the ground running. His week 15/16 matchups are against ATL (no world beaters) and DAL, a top 4 'good' matchup for TEs (PPR leagues).

Targets since week 7:

Cameron

9, 4, 5, BYE, 7, 10, 7

Reed

9, 14, 5, 9, 1, dnp, dnp

L.Green

3, BYE, 1, 1, 5, 5, 6

Green over Reed? Anyone?
My worry is Reed gets a hit to the head early in the game and doesn't return. If there was ever a chance for a guy with Green's high ceiling to have a big game, this is it. I can't wait for the game to be honest. Good luck!

People may have forgotten about Reed's having a good shot at getting +/-9 targets.

Have to remember Green got just 2 catches last week.

The Chiefs statistically are best vs the TE, who wants that? On the other hand their defense has been slipping with no Houston/Hali.

Griffin has been deteriorating, but then he has maybe been missing Reed. There were 8 targets to TEs last week, which as mentioned above sounds like a Reed gameplan that got created with the expectation Reed would be in there.

I don't know about you guys but I may not be at a computer or absolutely able to verify that Reed will be in there tomorrow morning right before game time. Last week as of the mid-morning it was reported Reed would be in there...... then apparently he got a headache. Gosh just didn't see that coming.

In other words...  .... but right now I have Green in there.

I like Reed, I do. In fact roster him in a few leagues. But playing him against a tough D in cold weather with a putrid QB. I dont even think there is a bad enough word to describe RG3s play this year. However, I still feel since he had a setback he is now more prone just one week removed from said setback.

Green looks to be getting more involved while Reed is just as hit or miss at this point.

But who knows the both are one play away and both are pretty good, just think Green is the better start.

Same. Played Miller last week because I needed something out of the TE but didn't need much. This week I need a breakout or I lose in the playoffs.
