Lamont Jordan........is there any value left for this guy? (1 Viewer)

OK, I have been delusional for the past few weeks that he is still recovering from injury and will come back and do SOMETHING at some point, so he's keeping a spot on my bench warm.....what have you guys done with him? Dropped him? Kept him? Do you see him with any value at all for the remainder of the season? Please don't tell me that Fargas is the starter - I am well aware of that, but does Jordan ever get healthy enough to take the #1 spot back this year?

All thoughts appreciated!

i just read he might lose the backup job to Rhodes.

amazing transition ... i wonder if it has to do with his weight? maybe the coaches just realized that his gut is so huge because of improper diet/exercise and this is a punishment to get him to conform?

I cut him 2 weeks ago in all leagues and am glad I did. He must have done something really heinous to the Raider organization like sit on Al Davis' dentures.

Lamont Jordan seems to be cut from the same cloth as guys like Derrick Blaylock or Lamar Gordon, guys who make somewhat of a name for themselves backing up great RBs (Curtis Martin for Jordan, Priest Holmes for Blaylock and Marshall Faulk for Gordon) but really falter when given the opportunity to start. Jordan put up respectable numbers his first year as a starter, but his injuries seem to have really hindered him lately and I don't see him reclaiming the starting job. He could become a Ty Wheatley/Zack Crockett/Napoleon McCallum type goal line back, but his days as a reliable RB2 in fantasy seem to be long gone.

Dropped two weeks ago without remorse for Fargus. He's done.

Isn't Jordan still under contract next year with the Raiders. You would think the smart thing to do would be feature him and hope to get something like a 7th rounder in trade for him next season. Of course he might suck so bad, you would have to give someone a 5th rounders to take him off your hands.

There is no value left in him.

Don't even bother to try and trade him.

Drop him off at the next block and pick up anyone to take his place.

Don't forget that he was leading the league (or close to it) after the first 2 or 3 weeks this year. He seemed to be poised for a good year, then the injury hit. Clearly something happened since then for him to fall out of favor - whether it was his conditioning (again) or perhaps something he said to anger the coaching staff/management. Who knows. It seems like Jordan's biggest issue isn't talent, but some inner lack of desire. It happens sometimes when you get your huge payday (see Alexander, Shaun).

It pains me to think of the offers I got for this guy weeks 2-3. Held on to him way too long. Finally had one last chance to trade him 3 weeks ago, when the rumors were flowing about Fargas getting more looks, and took a deal for Deion Branch.

If I still had him, I would say now is officially the time to drop him. The writing's on the wall, Oakland seems content with exploring other options. Sad, because the pace he was on was setting him up to be one of the better draft steals in recent years.

Did we confirm that the Raiders have until today to activate Bush from the PUP or not at all this year?
By NFL rules, once a player comes off the PUP list, teams have a 21 day roster exemption window for said player to be activated, IR'ed or released. Bush came of the PUP list October 31.

This season... stick a fork in him. Hold or buy low for dynasty.
:kicksrock: I remember at this point last year FBGs was recommending to trade Travis Henry (in both redraft and dynasty) for whatever you could get. He was stuck behind Fatdale, and "getting old". I traded him for peanuts and he winds up in Denver. In a dynasty league I own Jordan and am definitely holding him; you never know where he might be next year.
