ALLEN WILL RETIREAdam Schefter of NFL Network reports that 49ers guard Larry Allen, an 11-time Pro Bowler, will retire.Allen spent 14 seasons in the NFL. As Schefter points out, Allen will be eligible for the Hall of Fame in the same year in which defensive tackles Warren Sapp and Brian Young will be up for induction for the first time.Schefter suggests that Allen could sign a ceremonial contract with the Cowboys, where he played through the 2005 season
One of the best offensive lineman to play the game is going to retire. Kudos to the big uglies in the trenches who don't get much glory. :lmao:

Still remember like 2-3 pro bowls back when they did a weight lifting competition and he did like 46 reps and then right after Joey Porter did like 35 and JP was like " man my number would be respectable if you wasn't here", made lol.

 allen :lmao:

It was awesome to see you in a niners jersey. :lmao:

Stay classey Allen, don't retire as a cowboy!!! :D

I saw Larry in person last year, he did not look too healthy weight wise. I hope he slims down and takes care of himself after he retires.

Larry Allen was the best guard to ever play in the NFL. As a tackle, he was in the superior range. He is, without question, a first ballot HOFer. If I were choosing my all time NFL team, he would be one of the guards. Emmitt Smith should pay for LAs trip to Canton...he was that important to the Cowboy offense of the 90s.
