Anybody watching the game want to throw in some words on what is the problem? Fitz has 14 targets and 2 catches. Is it Anderson, is Fitz dropping balls or is it just that he is double covered constantly.

Most of them have not even been close to Fitzgerald.

Some talk in the game thread. Basically it's mostly Anderson's fault. If Fitz was fully healthy he could have reeled a couple more in that most WRs shouldnt be able to. Also Fitz isn't getting a lot of separation and Anderson is throwing horrible passes that way anways. Just bad all around.

overthrows, underthrows, good coverage. Anderson has struggled with accuracy on floaters and deep balls today. He's also getting pressured pretty well by the Rams D.
aaaand Fitz scores! Nice pass. A lot of inconsistencies by Derek Anderson, but he is holding in there, despite heavy pressure. The last drive, he was able to escape some of the pressure that caused him to be rushed earlier.

I watched the entire game.. and yes DA had some bad tosses.. but clearly issue 1A is Fitz isin't healthy.. and 1B is their lack of reps together..he had a lot of trouble separating.. and missed some that normally I am certain he would get to..DA can do the job if they protect.. there is a small handful of NFL QBs that can handle pressure consistantly..like a lot of QBs in the NFL, is not good under pressure.. he never has been ..even in his all world season in Cleveland..if 'Whiz' continues to show confidence in him and they can block it up front I think many will be surprised at what he can do for them at QB..he and Fitz had 4 maybe 5 plays today they were on the same page.. they just couldn't connect.. continued reps will correct that..aimlessgun said:

Most of the passes weren't within 10 feet of Fitz. Not necessarily DA's fault though.NDyse10 said:

Bartell did a very good job on Fitz, but he isn't a shut down corner. On Fitz's TD the Rams were in zone. Anderson was very inaccurate with Fitz. A lot of Fitz's targets seemed to be medium outs, which requires a QB to be precise. Anderson is not precise.
I'm not worried just yet. Fitz will be solid when they gameplan to his and Anderson's strengths.

No they didn't. Breaston had to slow down and/or reach behind him on nearly every reception. Granted, few of them were as terrible as the throws to Fitzgerald (Breaston could at least get a hand on most of his targets).every pass to Breaston hit him between the numbers
