Larry Johnson back on Practice Field (1 Viewer)

Larry Johnson, RB KCNews: Chiefs RB Larry Johnson (foot) went through limited practice reps Thursday for the second straight session, but head coach Herm Edwards also conveyed that L.J. will not be on the field Week 14 against the Broncos. Kolby Smith is once again expected to start in his absence. Analysis: Johnson will miss his fifth straight game Week 14, but it is a good sign that he is starting to do some of the little things in practice like jogging. Keep Johnson on staff but out of your active Fantasy lineup for Week 14. Once he returns, if he returns, he should be at least a serviceable No. 2 Fantasy RB.

So much for the Lis Franc/shattered bones theory.

if he returns next week, i dont see him making an impact or getting the full load against TEN with haynesworth in the mix. He could be productive in week 16 if your fantasy team makes it that far.

I'm willing to bet that most who own LJ aren't banking on getting anything for the rest of the season so my perspective is that it is nice that he is at least up and around participating. By the time he is back playing my season will be over, but there is still next season and I'd prefer not to be in the same position that Ronnie Brown owners are in wondering if he'll make it back for the start of 2008.

Great to hear that his still sort of in the mix.

I want to know where the heck "MODERATED" has been. He was so darn persistent that it was a Lis Franc injury that it almost made me throw up. The wanna be DOCS on this board have finally shut up. Yes, I do have LJ on my roster.

You are correct.

He's on my roster and while I'm not expecting him to come back, it would be a nice bonus for my roster if he did play in week 15/16.

Even if he "starts" week 15, I wouldn't play him.

He'd have to come back week 15, do well, feel great, then I'd play him week 16.

But you can't gamble in the FF playoffs that he gets 2-3 touches, doesn't feel right, and shuts it down.

If the team felt he was healthy enough to start for them, I'd feel okay having him start for my team.

It is easy to look stupid when you do not know what you are talking about...

Yes..I am putting him on my bench and keeping him along with LT for next year. It's a shame he had 3 really solid games in a row fantasy wise.

He really shouldn't be running around with a Lis Franc injury. I know with minor ones you can walk or jog, but he's getting REALLY bad advice if he's out there trying to cut and what-not.

Unless you have to. And if you have to gamble on LJ in week 16.....chances are you gambled on several players in week 15.

I play in a 16 team, start 2 RBs league. I have a very good roster at other positions - a championship caliber roster if I get RB production. At RB, I have been hanging onto LJ and Travis Henry for weeks, playing various backups and waiver wire pickups. I have a playoff bye in week 14... LJ playing in week 15 and 16 could be huge for me. Just wanted to illustrate that there are a lot of different situations in play on this board...

1. I have LJ on my roster.

2. Just as I felt for Priest Holmes, hope they shut him down this year for his own good.

3. KC is just blowing smoke to throw off opponents.

4. Don't count on him for the rest of the FF season or KC's season.

5. LJ is done. Let him recover for '08.

6. KC needs to rebuild the O-Line, or repair it, just to many injuries to overcome and compete for a championship. After all, that's what most NFL players are playing for, right?

7. Enough said...always next year.
