Laurent Robinson One Week Bandwagon... (1 Viewer)

So Dez is gimpy. Austin is out. Ogeltree was benched for Robinsion. They are playing the highflying Lions. All that equals a good day for Robinson, who else is in?

5/75 and 1 TD

I wish I could put him in my lineup. Robinson has the talent. He was a huge WW pickup in St. Louis and did very well before his injury. If he has recovered from that, there is no reason he can't have a great week with Romo. I think we're looking at 6 for 105 and a 50/50 shot to score.

6/110 (so far)

To be fair I picked him up 10 minutes prior to gametime to start over Brandon Gibson so it wasn't a huge stretch for me.

awesome call, add in how he has stunk most of his career and been a disappointment including being cut and the WR needy Rams parting ways with him and...phenomenal call!

So last time Miles was out he was good for 7/116 on 10 tgts. That was against DET. He has a favorable upcoming schedule so its safe to assume the Bandwagon is BACK. So for those that have him what type of production WR2 stats? :banned:

Why only one week? Austin will miss 2-4. I'm trying to decide between him and Jacoby Ford and I'm leaning Laurent Robinson's way, although Bloom is trying to convince me otherwise.

Post was from Oct 2.and yes, Robinson is a WR2 here on out.

Picked him up off waivers and just traded him, Manningham, and Starks for Steve Smith.

I definitely think he can put up WR2 numbers. The only caveat I would have had was worrying about spreading the ball with Dez, Witten, and Laurent, along with Murray tearing it up, but last week showed he can get it done anyway. I would assume if he's doing really well, you need to try to sell him high after a few weeks before Miles comes back for the playoffs.

He really didn't stink though. He just always got hurt whenever he started to produce.

meh you say that type of stuff about a rookie, not a veteran like him

 How can you say something "always" happened about a rookie?

I suppose one can't. Laurent's in his fifth year and has been a disappointment for a 3rd round pick that was in a great situation. Even last year with the WR hungry Rams. He has become injured at some bad times, but that doesn't account for when he's been healthy. In five years, 400 yards is about his high total for a single season. Plenty of NFL players have been cut after producing more than that. He's fortunate to still be getting chances.

Kinda reminds me of Brandon Lloyds situation. Shown glimpses in his career goes to a few different teams and all of a sudden he goes off.

Romo and Robinson seemed to have a bit o chemistry right off the bat. He's been a nice addition for the 'Boys.

Now that the Cowboys seem to have a running game, and Robinson will get the snaps, he could be in for some big games.

I have both Miles and Robinson. I'm hoping Miles sits out for some time so I can just start Robinson, rest of the way. Miles has been a huge disappointment this year.

Would you guys rather have Denarius Moore or Laurent Robinson for the rest of the season?
Denarius. Laurent will be good for a week or two, but when Miles/Dez are healthy, he is relegated to being the third WR - D. Moore doesn't have entrenched starters in front of him and may be the WR1 in Oakland.

Maybe. I don't wanna relook up each stat for Lloyd but sounds like you picked a good comparison.I remember Lloyd making these phenomenal catches and next to nothing otherwise. I felt like I was sure that he made a few circus catches that bought him time.I don't see opportunity in Dallas for Laurent in 2012. He has to step it up this season to earn another. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I was figuring Dallas traditionally fills that 3rd and 4th WR spot with some lesser pick they hope to develop. Younger Austin and Hurd for example.

Unless Robinson gets injured this week, I don't see how he doesn't have a productive game. If you have him, use him IMO unless you're lineups are only like start 2 WR's and you have 2 good very good ones. In leagues where you can start up to 4 Wr's, this guy is perfect as I just don't see how he doesn't have 80 and a TD.

I am on board - added him in a couple of leagues two weeks ago and added him and playing him this week in the FBGPC in our playoff quest

I'm on board. Traded Torrey Smith and Antonio Brown for Tebow a week ago, then turned around and grabbed Robinson as my #2 WR. Let the games begin!

picked him up this morning. benched larry fitz.

so far at half 2tds and 63 yds. fitz has 52 and a td.

so far so good.

other wr are megatron and cruz

The thing is, Robinson would have had a much bigger day if the Cowboys didn't abandon the run in the second half.

keep the one week (two week, three week..) bandwagon going? I think romo will have a good day and the cowboys offense abuses the skins.

Play Action ROBINSON!!! :moneybag: :moneybag: :moneybag:

Boom! Pumped I picked up this guy.
What happens to him in week 13 when Austin returns?
I'll worry about that when the time comes, but I hope he doesn't return.
Miles needs to rest up and prepare for a big 2012. :) I had LR stashed and forgotten in a couple of large roster dynasty leagues. He couldn't have landed in a better spot.
