LB Teddy Lehman & LB Kevin Burnett (1 Viewer)

Lehman and Burnett are not starters, but both were high draft picks by their teams. Here is what I've heard, but I am interested in any additional info or insight from homers.

LB Teddy Lehman - High draft pick, but major injury problems thus far in his career. Now healthy he couldn't supplant Paris Lennon at MLB. He posted a couple tackles last week, but I'm not sure what his role is in the defense to get those tackles? Does anyone see him living up to the pedigree and taking the starting job later in the year or is Lennon entrenched?

LB Kevin Burnett - Another fairly high draft pick, early 2nd round, that has been plagued by injuries. Listed as probable and looks to be healthy this week. Slated to play in the nickel D and is a solid special teams player. What are his chances of pushing Ayodele to the bench?

I wouldn't count on Lehman for anything at this point. Marinelli has had high praise for Lenon, and it was backed up last week in the boxscore and on the field. Burnett is interesting. He was healthy enough this preseason to push Ayodele but didn't quite get there. Worth keeping on eye on long term. Whether he plays in the nickel might be telling -- that was supposed to be the case all preseason long but never happened.
