Leftwich played like a guy who shouldn't have a job. He was 5-11 for 41 yards against back ups. He showed the same tendencies he always had. Long wind up, pass getting knocked down because they DB broke on the ball. I just write this because I have Big Ben in a keeper league and after Thursday’s game I wouldn't use a piece of string to tie Big Ben and Byron together let alone handcuffs.

while his long windup will always be there.....you do realize he had a total of 2 days of practice with the Steelers before being thrown out with no limitations on their playcalling. Let's wait until next week to analyze him so he can at least get a week in the system and with a playbook in hand.

Well, not like they're going to badmouth him.

But they may have genuinely been happy with where he tried to go with the ball, and the fact that he called and ran the right plays. Not like he had much time with the Steelers before this.

True on the 2 day thing but I would prefer hearing the coaches thought he did a good job. I watched the game and a few of us commented on rusty he looked. I guess I am keying on the "looked good" part becuase he didn't Not that he won't get better.
