Per Rotoworld:Coach Raheem Morris confirmed Tuesday that LeGarrette Blount (knee) will play in Sunday's game against the Saints. As expected. Blount hasn't played since spraining his MCL in Week 5, but should be close to 100 percent now. He'll have all the early-down work to himself after Earnest Graham suffered a season-ending Achilles' tendon injury in Week 7. Additionally, Blount said Tuesday that he expects to see a lot of work on third downs. He is shaping up as a good bet to reach at least 20 touches Sunday.

And he'll get third down duty. This could be a big week for him.
I hope so, I need him to boost my team.I started 5-0 but have lost the last three weeks. With my bye week guys I'll have to start some backupsCutlerGoreBlountNicksSidney Rice GronkowskiAkers Bengals DEFSo, as you can see, I really need Blount to have a good week or I'm looking at a 4 game losing streak.

Please keep us posted!!!!

How does this guy go from not catching ANY passes for most of his (short, early) career, to coming back from a knee injury and planning to get most of the 3rd down work against the Saints? This game could be a track meet, and this guy has no real track record as a good pass catcher.

Anyone else think something is fishy here?

Didn't Blount have a preseason game where he caught 3 passes for something like 50 yards? I seem to remember that and maybe one of the catches was for almost all of the yardage, but still it was encouraging.ETA: I found the game. It was against Miami, game 3 of the preseason. He had 3 catches for 62 yards, and 52 was on a single play.

Lumpkin had been spelling Graham in 3rd down in the games before Graham gotu hurt - so I am sure he gets all those looks - Blount didn't become a good pass catcher/blocker overnight.

I think Blount will have a huge week as Earnest Graham is out for the season and will play the 3rd down more. He's probable right now
