LenDale White...and Blue? (1 Viewer)

With all the recent acquisitions and transactions in free agency, it seems to be at least feasible now that he could end up as an Indianapolis Colt. Seeing that Polian has repeatedly emphasized their need for a "power running game", and with Edge,Jamal, and Chester eliminating 3 potential 1st rd. destinations for RB's, do you see White dropping to Indianapolis,or perhaps the Colts trading up a couple spots if he falls reasonably far enough(ala, Kevin Jones in 2004)? LenDale appears to be a perfect fit for the Colts, contingent on his committment to working on his pass blocking and blitz pick-up(weaknesses similiar to Edge's when he first came out).

Dont think there is a chance. Teams draft best player available not for need. He will be gone by the mid-20's at the latest.

Agreed, relative to BPA syndrome. That is why it seems intriguing in re of the Colts current situation. If White falls to the 20's, I could see the Colts pouncing, especially with the Patriots lurking right there. Also, dependent on the team, they do not always draft BPA,and even if they do, one team's best player available is another's 3rd rd. pick. Just see this year's crop of RB's free-falling after Bush and Williams.

If the Colts somehow were able to draft White, he'd be #1 on my board. I'd take him well before Bush or anyone...

Doubt White would make it past Denver
ANd with being from the Denver Area.. would be a no brainer for Denver to pick him.
No Brainer? With Tatum and Dayne, they have no legitimate veteran RB to help Lendale assimilate into the Bronco's complicated zone-blocking running schemes...and when has Shanahan's ego allowed him to draft a 1st rd. RB? I just see it as a situational pick for Indy; if they see the need, they might buck the Polian-trend and actually trade up for a player they covet, also preventing two key AFC rivals(Den and NE) from upgrading a mutually crucial position.

Even though they signed Chester Taylor, I don't think you can rule the Vikings out. They still need a power runner...(in addition to many other things.)

What does Indy have to move up with? An end of the round 2nd round pick plus the 30th pick wont move them up too many spots in the 1st round.

Have you guys considered the idea of trade?

Moving from 30 to range of 18-20 (right before the projected RB picks) is only about worth 230-280 points in a classic pick value chart.

(I think there is even one on this site, but here is another.)

That difference is nearly as much worth as the Colts' second rounder that looks to be 282.

So, say if boys, bolts or chiefs would not mind moving down 10 spots for an extra second rounder, it is totally possible to see him in White and Blue.

That and $1.25 will get you a cup of coffee.Let's see what happens at USC's pro day on April 2, but right now I don't see LenDale falling to the Colts, they likely will have to trade up to get him. He might not make it past Baltimore considering Jamal Lewis effectively signed a one year contract.

Assessing his recent "Pro Day" lack of performance, is it not feasible now? ....or should it even be? If his destination is not pre-determined, what the .... is up with this guy?
