Leon Washington (1 Viewer)

I don't own him but was thinking about the Jets upcoming matchup and what the Tenn running backs were able to do. I know they are better than the Jets duo, but it could be interesting. Coming off a bad game - two costly fumbles and relatively meager production - could force owners to sit him (guessing if you are starting him you are in trouble or in a very large league). However, the Jets are playing the Chiefs this week, making it likely the Jets will run the ball effectively. Is he a sneaky play?

ETA: Make sure to check out if he is suspended before the game or not.

I think so. I could see him getting 50+ rushing yards and 3-4 TDs with an outside shot at a TD. If you have bye week and/or injury issues at RB, I think Washington has some very nice flex value this week - especially in PPR leagues.

Whoa, that'snot sneaky, that's theft!Nah, assuming you meant receptions, I think those are decent numbers.

The Jets matchup with KC is why I snagged him off waivers last week as a bye week replacement for Peterson. He should get enough touches in the running and passing game to post serviceable numbers, and his role in the return game only improves his chances.

Go big or don't go at all. That's my motto. :yawn:Yea, I meant receptions, not TDs. Sorry about that.
Ha, I know, just busting you. If I was totally desperate and in a large league, I would even be tempted to start both Jets backs. That being said, I can envision 75-100 total yards, a handful of receptions, and a 25% chance of a TD.

how would you rank washington vs maurice morris for this week? pretty easy to run against the sf defense -- even if he would be sharing carries with julius jones.

:) In my shallow local league, I need some week 8 bye week replacements, and these two guys are both available. Right now I'm leaning towards picking up and starting Washington. Interested to hear what others think.

Was thinking the same thing. May flex him over Muhammed. That defense is a sieve and they are on the road. I expect 80+ and at least one TD. You can quote me on that.

The Jets OL is going to open some huge holes on KC. The Jets will be ahead the entire game and Jones and Washington should both see plenty of work.

I'd probably go with Leon over MoMorris but that's just me. Based purely on the fact that KC gave up like 380+ yards and 4 rushing TDs last week.

Between DeAngelo, Stewart and Leon I have to pull one out of a hat to pair With MBIII this week. Was leaning toward Stewart, but Lendale looked like a stud against KC.

I'm a Chiefs homer and I think Washington is a very good play this week. It wasn't just last week that we've been ripped by 2 RB's in the same game, it's become a trend. Looking back at Chiefs opponents earlier this season:

Vs. Oakland

McFadden 21-164-1

Bush 16-90-1

Vs. Falcons

Turner 23-104-3

Norwood 11-75

Vs. Panthers

Williams 20-123-2

Stewart 19-72

Vs. Titans

Johnson 18-168-1

White 17-149-3

As per another thread, Leon may face suspension. Not sure if this will include this week - but keep your eye out for this in case he is inactive.

The league won't suspend him at this late of date in the week. The only way he'd miss the game is if the Jets made him inactive tomorrow.

I was outbid for BenJarvus Green-Ellis and got the next to free consolation prize of Leon Washington to fill in for Ryan Grant. Also guessed right with Lance Moore at WR3 to steal a week I should have lost on paper.

I played him, and still lost.... but, I played him because I thought the Jets would get a lead and run alll day. So... while it worked out, it wasn't what I expected. FF.... sometimes it's just dumb luck.

he is a playmaker, and that is one thing the j-e-t-s need ... why do they not give him more touches? he showed power on the td vs oakland and is able to make big plays. why not get him 10-12 touches?

Something I've been wondering for years. He is the most gifted athlete on the team and needs more touches. It honestly seems like every time he has a special teams touch, he does something productive with it. Get him the ball in open space and he is your homerun threat.
