Lesean McCoy? How concerned are we? (1 Viewer)

That's all they do all do long, they live on Instagram. You can see what picture's players like. Robert Woods, Chris Gragg, Duke Williams, Aaron Williams, Andre Reed are just a few of the Bills/former I follow and they just like and creep all day long. It's embarassing. When I read through the Incognito, Jonathan Martin texts, it's all they were doing was trying to get laid and from the sounds of it failing miserably.

I wonder how much reviewing sluts' instagram pages for possible NFL running back banging pays.
I am utterly shocked at all of this behavior from guys in their 20s.

LeSean McCoy departed Tuesday's practice with a left leg injury.
McCoy remained down on the field for several moments before limping to the locker room. A team already missing Fred Jackson (hamstring), Karlos Williams (illness), Anthony Dixon (calf) and Bryce Brown (hamstring) can't afford anything more than a day-to-day injury from its bell-cow back. The Bills will finish Tuesday's practice with Bronson Hill and Ricky Seale as their only healthy runners. McCoy can be safely ruled out for Thursday's game against the Lions. His status will be updated some time in the next 24 hours.

More tweets, really does not sound good. Couldn't bend leg according to this tweet.

LeSean McCoy's night is over early. Grabbed top of right leg in back during red zone. Went to locker room. #Bills

RT @mikerodak LeSean McCoy walking to locker room with heavy limp. Left leg injury.
------------

RB Bryce Brown had a few nice runs in the first preseason game before his hammy, not sure of his status but seems his value could go up.

I was really hoping to see him get drafted late 1st or early 2nd and help push some better players down to me. What is the ESPN Hot Take here? McCoy should have spent more time getting in shape and less time partying with girls in the off season? Chip Kelly is a genius and knew McCoy's hamstring was due to breakdown?

Could see yet another year where Fred Jackson has startable value if this is serious, I don't believe Jackson's injury is serious.

Either he injured both legs according to these reports--or the reporters don't know their right from their left.

Just got offered Gronk/Latavius for Shady/Keenan Allen... ??? not sure what trickery this is.

What if McCoy was lost for the season (Aug 5)

http://subscribers.footballguys.com/apps/article.php?article=whaflesmco2015

Teaser:

LeSean McCoy hasn't missed a single start over the past two seasons. Having just turned 27 years of age, he is in the prime of his career and shouldn't be concerned about physical decline for another season or two. Of course, any player can get injured at any time and McCoy is set to be exposed to a lot of punishment this season. Behind an underwhelming offensive line in an offense that wants to rely on him as a bell-cow back, McCoy is going to take a lot of heavy hits this year. Without quality quarterback play, the running back position in Buffalo is going to be relied upon regardless of who is and isn't heatlhy. With that in mind, it's important to know who is in position to assume McCoy's touches if he is sidelined....

Update on other Bills backs from Bills HC Rex Ryan and team source.

Not a lot of options right now.

Joe Buscaglia @JoeBuscaglia
#Bills HC Rex Ryan called Fred Jackson's hamstring injury "major." Hopes he's back for the Pittsburgh game.

Buffalo Bills @buffalobills
Rex: Karlos Williams out for two weeks, should be back for home opener. "I hope our new RBs are quick learners. Good thing it's preseason."

If not fully ruptured then likely grade 1 or grade 2 sprain.

From "hamstring injuries in professional football players"

http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3445213/

Players missed 2.6 ± 3.1 games. Based on MRI, the hamstring injury involved the biceps femoris long head in 34 cases and the proximal and distal hamstrings in 25 and 22 cases, respectively. When < 50% of the muscle was involved, the average number of games missed was 1.8; if > 75%, then 3.2. Ten players had retraction, missing 5.5 games. By MRI, grade I injuries yielded an average of 1.1 missed games; grade II, 1.7; and grade III, 6.4. Players who missed 0 or 1 game had an MRI score of 8.2; 2 or 3 games, 11.1; and 4 or more games, 13.9.

Rapid return to play (< 1 week) occurred with isolated long head of biceps femoris injures with < 50% of involvement and minimal perimuscular edema, correlating to grade I radiologic strain (MRI score < 10). Prolonged recovery (missing > 2 or 3 games) occurs with multiple muscle injury, injuries distal to musculotendinous junction, short head of biceps injury, > 75% involvement, retraction, circumferential edema, and grade III radiologic strain (MRI score > 15).

Has he blamed this on Chip Kelly yet?

The worst part is that I have two email addresses hooked up to my phone and signed here at one point or another with each of them so now I get to see this breaking news two more times when their dip#### email server gets around to it.

Just a heads up, incase you missed it, Lesean McCoy limps off field with hamstring injury.

Who is the RB to own if this is a long term injury?
No one on the Bills. Look for whatever RBs in their division are available as they'll be mopping up in garbage time twice each this season.

Buffalo might not score more than 3 FGs a game this season. Hoping for TDs might be a fool's errand.
Their QB will just have to throw more.

Bump clay?

At least they're set up well for Connor cook.

He'll play next game. How many times did he have season ending injuries only to triumphantly return after halftime. ;)

This is why I always go RB, RB, RB, RB, RB, RB, RB, RB, RB, RB in the first 10 rounds.

There are always WRs on the wire who will break out, so I drop my dud RBs after it all shakes out.

I was really hoping to see him get drafted late 1st or early 2nd and help push some better players down to me.
This x bajillion
I don't mind McCoy but I generally don't look to take him unless he drops or the other elite RBs are taken. McCoy could end up doing well due to the volume. Rex himself said 1000 yard rush and 1000 yard receiving which would be insane in PPR if he can get anywhere close.

I can't see it happening regardless of volume.

RBs if given the volume can do fine as replacements. However, it is harder for a WR especially one not pegged in to produce at a high level, like a guy you can start with confidence your as WR 2. No real rule as you can find great waiver wire or late round WRs that produce high end WR 3, maybe low end WR 2 but I think it is hard to expect any more.
Breaking news: coach says his highest paid player will be good this season. Shocking.

Word was Kelly approached McCoy around the time of the Combine and said that he wanted McCoy to work hard in the offseason to improve his leg strength. McCoy supposedly told him to buzz off. Ironic.

McCoy has started a full 16 games twice in his career, with Chip Kelly in 2013 & 2014.
