Let's Make a Super Bowl Halftime Show (5 Viewers)

I can't say that I have plans to watch this SB half time show.

Let's play fantasy half time show and make our own.

I give you two options:

A) Post your ideal show
or if you want to take a challenge on
B) Post what you think would be the nearest universally loved half time show

and go!

Pink...not that I like her or really know much about her music especially recently, but she has enough popular songs that people would recognize and the showmanship ability to pull off an event like that with interesting stage setup and isn't afraid to swing around on some serious high wire rigs which are perfect for those types of settings.

Plus lots of other artists to cameo with that make sense.

Bad Bunny I think is on pace to be the top streamed act on Spotify this year. Aren't these the kind of artists that play the Super Bowl? :ponder:

EDIT: Sorry, I hadn't seen the pushback to the announcement. Hadn't realized this was a thing. Never mind.

Would Sabrina Carpenter be less controversial than Bad Bunny? She's pretty massive and might have more old white guy appeal being young, female, white and pretty. She'd be my answer.

The obvious old white guy band that hasn't done it is Foo Fighters. And Oasis but can't imagine they'd be bothered

I’d go with Post Malone plus guests. Only artist in history to have a Billboard #1 Hip Hop album, Rock album and Country album.

Guests he’s collaborated with include 21 Savage, Young Thug, Future, Doja Cat, Halsey, SZA, Morgan Wallen, Blake Shelton, Luke Combs, Chris Stapleton, Tim McGraw, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more.
And he puts on a good show, I saw him headline at Bonnaroo, I'm not a huge fan or anything but he's an engaging guy.

Feel like he has led or been high on that list for a while.

I'm curious to know if this is a revenue stream for the NFL. Performing the Super Bowl halftime show is about as big as it gets in the realm of these mega performers and I could see them ponying up cash (and a lot of it) to be selected as the featured performer.

Great idea. Huge crossover appeal

Maybe, depends who it is.

Taylor Swift certainly isn't paying to be there, they need her a lot more than she needs them.

Yeah, I don't think the NFL benefits one way or another from most performers, but this seems like a no-brainer choice.

He's as a big a Hispanic celeb as has maybe ever existed. We can assume spikes in viewership in South American, and elsewhere.

Why does it have to be music?

Get David Copperfield to come in and make the goalposts disappear or something. Or was he cancelled?

I think we've run out of musical artists that appeal to the NFL demographic. The usual rock bands are too old to trot out there at this point.
