Let's talk Austin Miles dynasty value (1 Viewer)

Yeah, but Miles = Jefferson, not Joiner...
True, but remember that Miles is on a one year contract and what happened to Jefferson.
Jefferson?he held out and got traded, then replaced by wes chandler.
You don't think it's possible that Austin wants too much money next year and the Cowboys trade him?
Anything is possible but if Austin put's up similar or better numbers next year, Jerry Jones would have to get an exceptional offer before he would trade him.Edited to add: And Dez Williams and another WR would have to have really stepped up as well.

but two good WRs and a 1000 yard TE as well?
1980 San Diego Chargers-TE Winslow - 1290 receiving yardsWR Joiner- 1132 receiving yardsWR Jefferson- 1340 receiving yards
1132 was good for WR14 in yardage last year. I'd say that's a drop from his 5-7 current dynasty ranking.

Digging back 30 years to find a trio that fits everyone's dreams is all you need to know.

Well, actually, Wayne had a SUBSTANTIAL impact on Harrison's stats. Reggie Wayne really arrived on the scene in 2003, when he was the #20 fantasy receiver. That very neatly bisects Harrison's 8-year prime (his first top-20 finish was in 1999, his last was in 2006- both seasons finishing as the #1 fantasy WR). So, let's compare 1999-2002 Harrison (aka "Pre-Wayne") to 2003-2006 Harrison (aka "Post-Wayne").'99-'02 Harrison averaged 117 catches a year. His *LOWEST* catch total over that span was 102. '03-'06 Harrison averaged 89 catches a year. His *HIGHEST* catch total over that span was 95. '99-'02 Harrison averaged 1580 receiving yards a year. His *LOWEST* yardage total over that span was 1413.'03-'06 Harrison averaged 1224 receiving yards a year. His *HIGHEST* yardage total over that span was 1366.'99-'02 Harrison averaged 237 fantasy points a year. His *LOWEST* fantasy point total over that span was 225.'03-'06 Harrison averaged 196 fantasy points a year. His *HIGHEST* fantasy point total over that span was 209.Pre-Wayne Harrison averaged 18 more catches for 350 more yards than his Post-Wayne counterpart. He averaged a whopping FORTY ONE more fantasy points every year (non-PPR). If you want to say that Marvin Harrison was still a fantasy stud even after Reggie Wayne arrived, then I'll agree with you... but if you want to say that the arrival of Reggie Wayne had no impact on Harrison's production, then I think you are 100% incorrect. If Dez Bryant is as good as he's expected to be, then I think Miles Austin's production will be impaired as a result. With that said, I think everyone here is taking it as a foregone conclusion that Dez Bryant will be as good as he's expected to be. If you look back over the last decade, the top 3 WR prospects entering the league were Larry Fitzgerald, Calvin Johnson, and... Charles Rogers. Expand that and you add names like Michael Crabtree, Andre Johnson, and... Roy Williams, Braylon Edwards, and David Terrell. I'd say that there's a 50% chance that Dez Bryant never winds up amounting to anything at all, in which case worrying about Miles Austin's production would wind up being much ado about nothing. I have a hard time downgrading Austin too severely based on a rookie who (a) might never amount to anything, and (b) even if he does amount to something, might take years to reach his potential.
