No such luck. I'm not totally surprised Georgia jumped us. We don't really have any quality wins yet.
As much as I feel like being undefeated should count for more, and that some schools really get the benefit of the doubt after 1 loss, I sort of get it in this case.

Been saying for years that Franklin needs to go if PSU ever wants to win a national championship.
Was at the game.
A disjointed offense devoid of pace, rhythm, and urgency was the story today. Our defense outscored our offense. A 71/29 run/pass mix. THREE receptions by WRs in the year of our lord TWO THOUSAND TWENTY FOUR. Two trips inside their five yard line with ZERO points.
Kotelnicki came up small today. He’s not in Kansas anymore.

I will give him some credit. He’s a good, solid coach but not a great coach that can lead a team to win big games.

My biggest disappointment year after year with PSU is the O line. They seem to have 1 really good guy each year over the past few years but the unit as a whole is just not that strong. They dominate against the week and average teams but always fail against the best teams. The O yesterday couldn't run the ball (other than Allar) which puts all of the pressure on the QB and the passing game. As pointed out above, they don't have the receivers to threaten the best teams. The only consistent receiving threat is Warren which makes it pretty easy for good teams to focus on taking him away. I don't think the offense will ever be ready to beat the best defenses until they get an offensive line that can impose its will on the other team.

Went to the game today. Very cold. Took the kids. We only made it to half time but it was 31-7 by then so we were good.
Great win by the defense. Only score they let up was the early fumble that put them in a bad spot. Outside of that it felt like MD couldn't even move the ball.
Tyler Warren is also a beast. The hurdle got the whole stadium rocking even with a half empty student section for Thanksgiving break.

Definitely not me. Not that I think we have a shot against Oregon but I doubt they were preparing to play us instead of OSU.

Not that disappointed. Oregon is just too damn fast. Penalties in the first half were bad. We’ll be tough in the playoff.
I feel better coming out of this loss than the typical no-shows against tOSU and Michigan.
We just went toe-to-toe with the #1 team in the country even though our defense had its’ worst performance in recent memory. Put up over 500 yards. Never gave up and kept coming back like Rocky.
Like any game, it came down to a few plays. Drew’s first interception. His awful, rushed pass to Warren in the red zone. The late Oregon fumble we didn’t recover.
This team showed it belongs. Played better today than either Texas or Georgia IMO.
We get a bonus home game in two weeks. And we made the CFP for the first time.

Just slightly off topic but what an awesome run for the PSU volleyball team to win the national championship today. The reverse sweep against Nebraska in the semifinals Thursday night was unbelievable and they were not going to be denied in the final today.
