Let's talk waiver wire QBs (1 Viewer)

Many of the fbg faithful are fond of waiting on a QB so figured this would be a germane thread. Just about every year there is starting quality QBs out there on the wore so i wanted to get a discussion now about the potential of what's out there. Certainly I'm not expecting to find a cam newton but there could be some qb10ish candidates out there. Right now on my competitive 12- team wire there is :

Cassel

Sanchez

Skelton

Dalton

Ponder

Weeden

Tannenhill

Gabbert

IMO the ones with the best chances to produce numbers are the ones with top receiving weapons which gives us

Skelton

Dalton

And maybe Ponder if Simpson ends up the real deal to go with Percy. I haven't seen much Skelton but is he really that awful? Ditto Dalton. I know he made the pro bowl as like a fifth alternate but is he being overlooked? Could he be poised to make a year two leap?

On a side not Sanchez finished 2011 as QB10?!?! I can hardly believe that. Will Tebow really steal enough snaps to render last years qb10 unrosterable?

I like Ponder the best. He is a smart and accurate QB who can zip it when he needs to. People are sleeping on him because of the success of Newton and Dalton but forget that most rookie QB's take some time to develop. I think Skelton, Dalton, and most of the others are limited by their OL and surrounding weapons

Totally agree with this. He makes bad decisions sometimes, but his job is safe, he looked good at times last year, he gets rushing yards, and he can easily build up yardage throwing underneath to harvin. I'm really thinking about picking him up in my 12 teamer because he has way more upside than anyone else.
