LHUCKS' Top 10 Buy Low (1 Viewer)

I'm not so sure anymore that Ahman>Davenport. First time GB had a running game all year and Davenport was the man at the helm. Sure it was New Orleans, but Green Bay's run schedule hadn't been that tough before this game.

1. Titans Passing Game - McNair, Bennett, Calico, Troupe, Kinney

2. Lamont Jordan

3. Isaac Bruce

4. Mewelde Moore

5. Hines Ward

6. Mike Anderson

7. Andre Johnson

8. Jermaine Wiggins

9. Ahman Green

10. Frank Gore

While 3 out of 10 is not great, and a few were due to injuries, I do like the fact you put everything on the table to take the criticism, as well as praise.

Think relative value...your conclusions are way off.

I am assuming you mean relative to where they were drafted/what you gave up for them and how they were doing at the time.Andre Johnson - #47th WR

Bennett - #38th WR

Ahman Green - #69th RB

Isaac Bruce - #58th WR

Mewelde Moore - #28th RB

Frank Gore - #38th RB

Yup....my conclusions still ring true.

I was wrong on Johnson, Bennett, Green, Bruce.Moore and Gore could be had for very cheap at the time.

The point of this thread was to look back at early season thoughts, not "look at all the great LHUCKS value picks."

The key to the ff puzzle is learning from your mistakes or the mistakes of others, not continually lookining forward and making the same mistakes year after year.

Well, that's a part of the fun in fantasy land. Putting your neck out there takes guts. I didn't see too many more non-staff members doing the same sort of thing as LHUCKS last season. Sure, we can all name one or two here and there, but to name ten, and not all are big names, is tough to predict.

Lhuckily we can just sit back and learn from all the mistakes you make.

2005 was a down year for me FF wise. I took your advice, moved for Ahman Green, Bennett, and Bruce in all of my leagues, attempting to "buy low".What have you been up to lately? Handing out losing lottery numbers?

Lhucks...I think you need to re-evaluate how you account for opening week action. Honestly your pre-season calls were far superior to the analysis here. I only saw one or two calls that you hit for the right reason.

yeah, I'm taking a look at it. Definitely not my best prognostication. A lot of injuries later on in the season with this group.

I agree with all of his :thumbup:s and :thumbdown:s. But given how hard it is to find sleepers in the mid-late rounds of the draft, I think 2 or 3 out of 10 is an impressive hit rate. (Not that Lamont Jordan went was a mid-late rounder, but he was very good value.) [Edit: I didn't realize these were from after opening week, not that it really matters.]

Okay-the humor was good and laughable. Thanks!

NOW-any early projections for 2006 for "But Low" candidates?

I say A. Johnson and C. Taylor.

Why did he bump his own thread?
Probably trying to get conversation around here back on fantasy related topics. IMO, Lhucks material is a must read, much like Ruds, Levin, DR, and others were back in the day.

I was kind of hoping this was a new thread with candidates right now. Trading really picks up in dynasty leagues right before the draft and then dies down again until pre-season. I need my fix!

all the ff today idiots coming over to this board. thats the problem.
Yes, because posts such as the one you just made are high quality. There's a dropoff in the offseason, that's all it is. ALL sites have idiots-this one, fftoday and any other place you can name.

On the contrary, I think most of the threads in the offseason are generally of higher quality than cleverly disguised WDIS threads during the season.

Man, this is the most overused statement on this board. Have you ever even been to that board? It isn't like everyone from there is stupid and everyone here is so much better. Get some new material.

i don't know if i entirely agree. while there are interesting off season things going on, most the people on this board waste half their time talking about all the what ifs about reggie bush.it was getting old a long time ago!

That's only because he'll crush Emmitt's career rushing record the same year Emmitt goes to Canton.

I wonder if Bush will be a better value on the East Coast than out west? Those of us out west lucky enough to catch many of his games are completely, 1000% sold on him being not only Pro Bowl good, but All Pro good. Whereas East Coast fans who mostly saw highlights likely have a less favorable opinion of Pac 10 football in general, and likely won't be quite as hyped. It will be intersting to see where Bush's ADP is here in a couple of months.
