Lions Defense in Dynasty format (1 Viewer)

Any value there? It kind of seems like they are building a solid group. I have a feeling someone in our dynasty draft may be targeting them.

Jim Schwartz is a defensive minded coach, so one would think that they would continue to improve in that direction. Certainly worth taking a flyer on since you can't draft a rookie defense and I have found that once a team is worth rostering it has usually already been taken in my leagues.

I think almost overhyped. Taken 3rd in a startup I'm in. Got taken at pick 45 in a rookie draft. They may be startable for a long time, but there's still holes there behind the maybe-elite DL.

I've received several trade offers in my dynasty leagues this off-season after grabbing them off the waiver in several leagues last year. So I'd say the general consensus is that they are valuable.

Not really seeing where the holes are. The Lions did a lot of work upgrading both their LB and secondary in free agency. Their pickups in the secondary are going to be better than people expect. I say that now, but as I speak both Wright and Houston are banged up. The Lions do lack depth there, but their starting lineup if healthy, will be a top 10 defense.

I took them in the 13th round. They would have been 2nd taken if not for somebody at the turn taking a D. Then again - I only went for them there because I knew the RB I wanted would last (he went to me in the 17th) and there's a DET homer in the league.I think thy can be Steelers like for most of this decade. The Bears OLine looks like it may take a bit of time to fix. A defense starts with the DLine and they have a great safety in Delmas and a nice LB corps. They could be a top 5-7 defense for 10 years...I think it's worth it in the startup late rounds where we're taking shots at guys like Golden Tate...Lonyae Miller...why not take the D?
