Lions set to make lineup changes in Week Two
By Eric Edholm
Sept. 11, 2008
The Lions had several problems in Sunday’s loss to the Falcons, and they would like to address a few of them with personnel changes. Word out of Detroit is that three new starters are set to take over: it appears that Manny Ramirez will take over for Stephen Peterman at right guard; Leigh Bodden will replace Travis Fisher at right cornerback; and Daniel Bullocks will move back into the starting FS role, replacing Gerald Alexander. Fisher did not play too badly in the opener, and he is expected to play regularly as the nickel corner and the backup to both starters. Bullocks coming back is not a surprise, either; he was being worked into the lineup slowly following knee surgery this offseason. But the Ramirez move appears a direct reaction to Sunday, when the team failed to get much of a power run game going.
