little help: what news pushed the deet/sdc game off the board (1 Viewer)

Maybe something to do with Rivers?
Most likely.
The North County Times reports San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers (sprained left knee - questionable) was able to work for the second consecutive day Friday. Rivers, who was wearing a sleeve and brace on his knee, divided the snaps with backup QB Billy Volek. If Rivers suffers a setback, Volek would get his 11th NFL start and first with the Chargers. He's 3-7 as a starter.

Yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I guess Vegas knows something one way or the other at this point and the news hasn't hit the wire yet.

This is all I found:(KFFL) Updating a previous item, Mike Sullivan, of the North County Times, reports San Diego Chargers QB Philip Rivers (knee) is expected to play in Week 15. Sat Dec 15 1:24:00 a.m. ET 2007

It seems like Vegas, even announcers, find out before us and we check the wires constantly.

This same reporter said Gates is expected to play but is not a "lock" to do so,I agree though,Gates being iffy wouldn't take the game off the board,Rivers status being in doubt would take it off pending what info they discover, does sound like something's up though, the Vegas guys are on top of everything, much moolah at stake with them.
