oh goody, a bunch of kids who never experienced the gd on acid telling people what is what about jerry.

Saw trey in his day. 91-99. saw jerry after his day. advantage jerry. by a lot. then again, if youre turned on by more notes and not really tapped into the expressive elements of art, i can see thinking you have an argument.

 
not a lot of taper tickets, but some. for sc and chicago. i wouldnt be surprised if there is a live audience stream, too. taperrob, willie's link, is the most likely afaik.

 
mlb? im logged on and there is a webcast will begin soon graphic that actually has motion so as to indicate well motion. which is good.

 
no, just live shot of the stage from behind the soundboard with audio of the crowd and house music. starting on time isn't really their thing.

 
i wondered how trey's guitar tone would work here. it's not working very well. it has no richness to it. leaves a lot of space open int he mids. some of that is the mix and they'll sort it out by getting weir turned up, but they're not there yet.

and here comes mickey. hard for mickey when its clanky. but as they dial in, he can start weaving.

Glad to hear youre digging it willie. I'm kind of stunned by how bad i thought it was. they're a mess. this is literally a rehearsal and that is appalling considering the ticket fiasco and how much time, money, and effort people put in to be there. trey is going to need to just turn his back to them, let it rip and hope they can keep up.

they threw the temper expectations excuse out the window when they invoked the grateful dead name and charged $200 a ticket and made lottery "winners" take obstructed view seats as "best available" in the first of many on sale dates. then released tickets repeatedly since, including pit tickets multiple times over the last week. the hardcore fans were the ones who were on top of it early and they were the ones stuck with garbage seats because that was all they released early. i know of many, not a few, many, who ended up with more than one ticket because of that. garcia has been rolling over in his grave for months. discraceful at every turn. the least they could have done was rehearse enough to not do THAT. So bad.

Just talked to my buddy who is watching who went to 170+ dead shows in the day and he loves it. "all about the songs". he thinks they may not play the same song twice in these 5 shows. I told him that was crazy but he thinks there's a chance they dont

I think just sit back and enjoy and not try to review it. once in a life time. this isnt a n'sync concert, this is a bunch of 60-70 year old musicuans playing a ton of songs they haven't played in a long time with new personnel
