anyone see phil high hand trey there? that was funny. phil needed a breather and trey was ready to go
Sound quality on both of these is fantastic (with headphones). Better than that original ustream that got cut. Thanks.
I didnt listen, what does this mean?that set was awesome. trey went rogue during hell in a bucket. they crushed that set.its been fantastic. sorry, saul goodbrah!yeah it's not perfect but if you're not enjoying this you need to recalibrate or just stop watching. this set has been killerman its tough hearing weir sing jerry's songs. jerry's vocal phrasings were perfectly tucked in rhythm. its contrary to weir's sensibilities as a simultaneous singer/player and he struggles with it. it's like every line creates a challange for the others to stay locked in he's so disjointed.
Bruce sang a few last night.I'm going Friday. Did Bruce sing at all or was it just Bobby and Phil?
I just assumed that Trey wouldn't be singing at all. I know Bobby is very protective of the catalog... Glad Bruce is singing though! Which ones did he sing? Kids and all have kept me from the webcasts and I intitally didn't want to know anything before walking in on Friday night. Now I can't wait, I need to know.Bruce sang a few last night.I'm going Friday. Did Bruce sing at all or was it just Bobby and Phil?
Has Trey has lead vocals on any song yet?
Alabama Getaway and something on Saturday. Cream Puff War?Bruce sang a few last night.I'm going Friday. Did Bruce sing at all or was it just Bobby and Phil?

Trey sang cream puff war for sure and Bruce sang casey jones, although so did the entire Levi stadium.I just assumed that Trey wouldn't be singing at all. although there is debate going on right now as to whether or not the rainbow was real or fake!
Just texted my buddy who said that our whole group talked about it for 35 minutes during the break, I asked where the hell I was at during this "conversation" and he replied "right there with all the other idiots"although there is debate going on right now as to whether or not the rainbow was real or fake!![]()
jury is apparently still out on rainbowgate.GD hippies and their CGI rainbows.
And I'm sure the DVD/Blu Ray combo pack will be available for your holiday shopping needs as well. Hopefully we'll still be able to freely trade these shows via dime and traders den.
Box set release date 11-20-15. Audio/visual CD and DVD or Blu-ray sets of the final three shows in Chicago, link from their site (limited to 20,000). One reason I didn't pay for the stream, I was hoping for exactly this. The final July 5 show avail. separately (4 CDs and 2 DVDs or Blu-rays), going out on a limb and predicting this could be a long show, even by the Dead's epic standards!!![]()

if you only have 20-30 minutes, the post 1/2 step jam>wharf rat>jam is what you need to hear. easily the best stretch of music of he two nights.
For sure. That was the first time all weekend that the band clicked with what Trey was doing and let him drive the jams. It worked. They need to blueprint that for Chicago.if you only have 20-30 minutes, the post 1/2 step jam>wharf rat>jam is what you need to hear. easily the best stretch of music of he two nights.
he said he's uploading the first set. looking forward to a second viewing of that as well.
:( I would have enjoyed a brew with you saturday night. Maybe in 20 years when they come back again...Went to both nights. I teared up as Brokedown Palace wound down. I'm gonna miss these guys.
that was the first time all weekend the band really clicked at all. they started to sound like the grateful dead rhythm section.Workhorse said:For sure. I feel ya and all I consumed was liqour. Somewhere between st. stephen and casey jones I consumed enough on the day/evening to completely black out. I remember coming back to reality during casey jones and my friends just laughing their asses off at me. The worst part? They were tripping on shrooms and still more coherent than me. farkWell set 1 Saturday night was really good. Love the old tunes like Alligator and Viola Lee Blues. Have since relistened and the Viola is holding up well.
Set 2 was a complete mental breakdown. While my story might be amusing to some not sure I'm ready to tell it on here.
