I'm looking at picking up a rookie WR for the future ... Two who intrigue me are Santonio Holmes and Chad Jackson. Jackson has made a couple of big plays, but has not been a consistent part of the offense, There is, however, less of a roadblock to him becoming the No. 1 WR. Holmes has looked good the last couple of weeks.

Thoughts?

I can't comment on Jackson because I haven't seen him but I think Holmes is going to be a decent WR.He's made a couple nice catches and looks like he can run after the catch. His biggest problem has been holding onto the ball on punt returns. He also slipped in the open field last week on a play that should have gone for a TD and went down yesterday on a punt return when the kicker brushed his leg.

The jury is still out on Jackson due to hammy issues that he's just now getting over.

All we have to go on is the word of pundits who described him as perhaps the best WR in the draft.

Holmes looks to be a pretty good Reciever. It seems like he is getting into the flow of the offense. Nate Washington is actually looking a little better right now for the Steelers. The Passing game was looking good with Big Ben before he went out. He seemed fine on the sidelines after going to the lockerroom so i doubt he will mis time. Holmes will not be the #1 guy anytime soon with Ward there (and a recently signed big contract) in fact i see Washington as more of the #2 guy there now.
