Lori Laughlin & Felicity Huffman BUSTED! (2 Viewers)

Probably because their kids are really dumb.
If they are that dumb, how were they going to make it thru 4 - 5 years of college?  Lori's kid is pretty cute, she would be better off trying to marry her off to some rich family, much better chance to be provided for in the future...

For Laughlin's kids it really seems as if the idea was that they would be paid influencers targeting college kids.  USC seems to have been picked as an optimal marketing location more than anything else.

Felicity Huffman knew she was a target of the federal investigation into bribery in the college admissions process ... but she had no idea 7 feds would show up at her door Tuesday morning with guns drawn.

Sources familiar with the arrest tell TMZ, 7 FBI agents showed up at Felicity's Hollywood Hills home at 6 AM and drew their weapons as they ordered Felicity to come out and surrender.

We're told Felicity, her husband William H. Macy and their 2 daughters were asleep when the agents ordered her out. Our sources say she knew the arrest was looming and would have gladly surrendered on her own, but the feds saw it differently.

I blame Roger Stone for this new trend....

They were expecting to tangle with The Shoveler.

This story is chock full of goodness. Just comedy and schadenfreude everywhere you look.

Here the feds take a gratuitous shot at the University of San Diego.
:lmao:

That’s my other Alma mater*.

*the majority of my continuing ed credits are from USD satellites.

Since the Fed's were getting inside information regarding a recruiting scandal at, in part, USC ..they could have called this Operation Trojan Horse.

:groan:

In Jerry Lundegaard voice:

Awe geez fellas. I think we have some sort of mix up. I mean, paying money on top of tuition costs? That just seems a bit ludicrous, don’t ya think?

The main leader of this scam said it himself in one of the wiretaps.

There's the front door in through admission. Then there's the back door through the fundraising department. And he offers a side door. Sure the side door isn't technically "legal" but the back door costs 10 times as much. To be a development prospect, you have to be willing to put up at least $5 or 10 million.
20 years ago it cost Charles 2.5 million to get Jared into Harvard

Lori Loughlin is said to agreed to $500,000 in bribes for them to get into USC?  That seems like an awful lot for someone with an estimated net worth of $8 million.  And honestly, who cares where they go, they have their lives already secure.
Not that what school they go to matters much, but $8 million of parental net worth might not be too hard for a young person to burn through if they are both too lazy really even attempt to get admitted to college and care so much about their image/keeping up with the Jones to pay an insane amount of money to hide that laziness.

Not sure what Loughlin's work schedule is like these days, but I imagine she's going to need work as much as possible.

And a scandal like this is going to have the opposite effect.

I imagine her appearances on Hallmark Channel are going to dry up.

This just highlights why we are such a messed up society.

Payments run through a 501(c)(3) charity. How despicable. If any of these parents actually sought charitable deductions for their bribes, the feds need to tack on another year or two.
They are probably Trump supporters..always trying to skirt the system.

Her husband is the bread winner so doubtful she needs to work while married to him.

In answer to some others in this thread, I don't want us ever to get jaded about rich people screwing over not-rich people in this country. It's already getting worse and we can't afford to let it go much further.
Yet we keep electing "rich" people (on both sides).  And our system allows the people we elect to become led by other rich peoples' money.  It will never stop.
