Whitest. Dance. Ever. She was good. But for some odd reason it made me think of
Alice Wetterlund . The commercial really does a good job flattering her.Totally agree and she looks like a goer. Did she show up in the who's that hot ad girl blog yet?
There was def. some female empowerment going on with the commercial. It's sort of a "look-at-me" ad, just from the camera angle with her juxtaposed in front of the camera, and the subtle slide of the thirteen-year-old (potential sexual assaulter) hands up the hips with an eye roll. Doesn't take much to tease out a bit of the ole newfangled feminism these days.Alice Wetterlund . The commercial really does a good job flattering her.Totally agree and she looks like a goer. Cmon, guys.
I thought I was too busy reading about #Gamergate, watching the coverage thereof on Colbert, reading about the Bechdel test with respect to gender identity and children's programming over at the AV Club, grooving to Marlo Thomas's reintroduction to pop culture, reading about the cultural impact of Lena Dunham, chillaxing on the Cosmo Voting Bus, and watching Girl Code to make any sort of abstruse point about modern gender relations, demography, and feminism, but I was wrong. self absorbed? My wife's wedding dance moves remind me a lot of this chick. Can't decide if it's hot, silly or both.

Heh. There's no rant. Watch the commercial and think about who they're targeting. It's that simple. Yeah, they're targeting guys who love to watch single girls dance badly at weddings with a camera directly on them and sparklers all over the place while they change dresses and have single-spaced seats on the airline with an aisle seat with nobody in the middle of you and another thin girl? All while there are no adult men in focus at the weddings? If I said yes, would you go off on another crazy rant? Are you an upside-down clam?I thought I was too busy reading about #Gamergate, watching the coverage thereof on Colbert, reading about the Bechdel test with respect to gender identity and children's programming over at the AV Club, grooving to Marlo Thomas's reintroduction to pop culture, reading about the cultural impact of Lena Dunham, chillaxing on the Cosmo Voting Bus, and watching Girl Code to make any sort of abstruse point about modern gender relations, demography, and feminism, but I was wrong. That's all I'm saying. Dude, watch the commercial critically and get back to me. I say this without any malice whatsoever. If it sounds weird, then there's no attention being paid to its overtones.

Please let that happen. Because this one was awesome. So...would bang?analytically, the hemlines show a concern for appearance, whilst the solo dancing is empowering on many levels. it tells others i am comfortable in my own skin, while letting them know i am somewhat approachable. in today's go go society, i think metaphysically we need to have more of a discussion on approachability, gender neutrality and the role of the family and weddings on our society as a whole. this is more of a global issue, spanning continents and cultures.
Gawd, I sure hope not. I like this Southwest commercial though. Cute and I like the little nose crinkle thing. http://www.ispot.tv/ad/7Nv5/southwest-airlines-smilesSo all we going to do this for every chick that's in a commercial now?
Cmon, guys.
prop is a hula hoopsidetrack: some years ago we had an offbeat thread about a dancing girl--first thing I thought of...unusual style, outside, prop was a hat iirc...anybody remember it?
