LT and Backup vs Denver on Monday night (1 Viewer)

I picked up Sproles as a FA. The strategy or idea being that I get a performance like last week.

So here is the thinking. Play LT and his back up. One or both could put up incredible stats.

LT is a lock.. Does he play the entire game? Who plays the rest? What are your rushing predicitions for SD?

FYI.. I could plug in guys like Freddy T, L. White, McGahee... but, there's something about those matchups that has me questioning each one. FBALL guys has a bad prediction for Freddy, the ravens have kind of checked out, and what if Tenn. is already eliminated by their 4pm game? In my SB I have to beat Grant and Graham ( all ww backfield ).

So... it's an idea... and curious to see what people think about the SD backfield... ( please confirm Sproles as the backup this weekend )

I would go with LT and McGahee, I think you got your competition beat with those two over Grant/Graham.

That's the 1st choice... not to turn it into a WDIS. (Thanks, I'll take that as a.. if you have a more viable starter.. play em. PM that stuff to me)

For the sake of the thread... it's an idea that's been discussed before in seasons past. And... certain weeks people cashed in big.

Ok... so far I've researched:

Week 16 for last couple years.. there doesn't seem to be a historical reason to think SD will sit LT or split carries. At worst he plays 1 half because of a great performance or the game is in hand. Last week was actually the 1st time in the history of the team that they've had 2) 100 yard rushers in 1 game.

Observing last year vs. this year. LT has a decrease in rushing attempts so far. About 80 less. Guess this could be important if you believe they have an agenda to try to preserve his legs.

Reasons to play

------------------

1) Win rushing title (30 yds or so ahead ADP)

2) playoff positioning - avoiding NE until championship game.

Negatives

-------------------

1) risks to injury.. Parker

2) already have division won ( didn't stop them in past )

Ever since the Parker injury I've worried playoff contenders might sit their studs. I'll be listening closely today and tomorrow. At this point my guess is you play him and expect a normal LT game... if you have better options than his backup... start em. But, it is a risky/sneaky play for those with need.

i think Denver will make it a tough game. I think LT will play most of, if not all, the game. Plus LT is in line for the rushing title. yes even a humble guy like LT thinks about these things.
