LT gets first place? I feel sad! I feel worse and worse about my LT+Bowe trade for Deangelo...actually i don't! Talk about selling high, LT is the poster boy. As a former LT owner, i could feel it in my bones. I picked him up with my 109th overall pick. He was 109th for a reason. This is not to say that a 109th pick should always be sold high, and can never be a great asset, it is just to say that LT should be sold high.
(the league i'm referring to is a keeper league where we keep 6 players at no cost, in redraft leagues i may hold on to LT)
Anyway, there is another thread talking about how horrible deangelo is, combine it with this thread where LT beats out Charles and Cedric Benson, 2 top 20 picks! We are talking about the most obvious buy low sell high combination. Of course it doesn't have to be Deangelo, there are tons of other buy low prospects. How about Larry Fitzgerald? It is too late to buy Calvin Johnson low, but if you remember a couple weeks ago he had a thread about how horrible he was. What about Beenie Wells in a dynasty format, what about Ryan Mathews, etc etc. The list goes on and on.
Sell high is not selling Ryan Torain. Why? Because his value isn't really high. In order to sell high, his perceived value must be high. The problem is that if his perceived value is high, then you are most likely one of the people who perceive the assets value as high, lol. So it is very hard to pull the trigger.
Sorry if i hijacked this thread, i just had to get the rant out. I could easily just be upset that i gave up LT and Bowe for Deangelo (it is a keeper league i must remind everyone) and now i'm talking up my position. It could all be possible.
