Mad Men on AMC (1 Viewer)

Who Cares?!?
I do, friend. This is the best drama on TV right now. It's one of the best shows to come around in years.
 :lmao: :lmao:
Wait, McJose = Officer Pete Malloy, right? Man, his being-horrible-at-TV shtick goes back a long way.

ETA: Hold on. Isn't RudiStein also Officer Pete Malloy? I think my notebook might be broken.
The easiest way to remember is to assume that everyone is Tanner unless you're sure they aren't.

Well...yeah.

Started binge watching with the GF.... On season 5. Quite good but seems to be stagnating a bit lately. Very well made/shot/acted show though....

Between the fappening and some Elizabeth Moss vacation shots at least we have seen more of the Girls of Mad Men then we have before.

Watching through the series for the first time trying to catch up in time for the finale season. Currently nearing the end of season 5.

Paul Kinsey as a Hare Krishna. :lmao:

Finally caught up...April seems like a long way off.

Not a perfect show but very satisfying. For me, there will be a Sopranos-like void when this wraps up.

The final episodes won't air until next spring. I have been re-watching the entire series. It's impossible to narrow down the best scenes, but two of Don's pitches comes to mind.

Hershey:

The lipstick pitch is the best of the show and maybe the best of any show outside of BB.

"I can't tell you about Jesus...he's either in your heart imor he's not".

It's right up there with Breaking Bad among my favorites.

Though I wished they hadn't copied BB by breaking up the final season.

We'll see after I watch The Wire over the next few months.

Wasn't that an AMC decision? They love dividing up their top show's seasons in some fashion.
Probably right. I know it worked out for BB as the number of viewers for the final half-season shot up dramatically.

We'll see if something similar happens with Mad Men, but I have my doubts.

I don't think they will. MM doesn't have the hype BB had going into it's final season.

Exactly. I was ready to watch the final season last year, in its entirety.

I am really excited for it's return, but the show seemed to have more steam amongst the public and media a couple years ago.

"You know what my father used to say? Being with a client is like being in a marriage. Sometimes you get into it for the wrong reasons, and eventually, they hit you in the face."

As good as this show is, it doesn't seem eminently rewatchable like, say, The Sopranos or The Wire. Will folks actually be watching episodes of Mad Men multiple times five, ten years from now?
