I heard someone in the media or social media platform try and compare these two plays as I think there are some major differences but the more I thought about it, perhaps it is the closest thing we've seen since that Marino fake spike vs the Jets. It didn't involve an actual pass for Mahomes but he had to sell it the same way Marino had to sell that spike

Mahomes play was pretty weak compared to many in my memory. I didn’t even see the game and watched the video and wondering why it was special.

I prefer the Big Ben fake spike against Dallas… or the Matt Stafford fake spike and plunge was my all time favorite against :checks watch: Dallas.
